I'd just bake the cakes and then freeze them - that tried and tested method works brilliantly!People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

I want to bake some pies and was wondering if silicon beware works for pastry or does it have to be metal? I don't want a soggy bottom to my pie :eek:0

Although I make my own buns I keep a value cake mix in the cupboard that I just add an egg to and cook in the microwave. Add some melted jam and instant custard for a fantastic pud in minutes with little mess. The best bargains are priceless!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T0

Do you know, I honestly don't know.:think:
I suppose if you are doing a pie are you baking it blind before hand? That way you get the crust develop if not then it could come out a bit soggy. Having said that I have done plate pies before like apple pie made on a plate and baked in the oven and it is okay and not soggy.Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:

I use metal dishes or baking trays for pastry every time - always a good result.#Life isn't about waiting for the storms to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain #We must be willing to let go of the life we planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us #If you focus on what you have left behind, you will never see what lies ahead - Gusteau/RatatouilleGC 2022: £0/£2,500 total spend0
