Yay for this thread, thanks everyone (even though it's an oldie, it keeps getting bumped lol) OH is a pain for buying kitchen gadgets and has decided his life is incomplete without one of these. I'm pretty sure he'll be keeping an eye on this thread for inspiration. He's looking through it now and will laugh when he gets to my post at the very end :-)
Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)

I need a recipe for stuffed peppers with rice/bulgur, no meat, does anyone know any?
    :)
  • I found this thread while researching the intellichef and see it is not active anymore. Just wondering if anyone has purchased the new model which is the TSV on QVCuk today. Can't give a link as I have just joined but it is easy to find.

I was looking at the TSV too but its no good for us. The capacity is only 2.9l so would never replace my 5.5l slow cooker.
There's just not the depth to it that I need to cook big chickens whole and joints.

A great pity as I have a little kitchen and, like others on this thread previously said, could do with combining gadgets to free up space.

It's a totally different gadget to what has been talked about on this thread, looks like they have a new version
    here's the old
    http://www.morphyrichards.co.uk/instruction-booklets/IB-cooking-and-baking/IB-multi-cookers/48810-Intellichef-Multicooker.html

    here's the new
    http://www.qvcuk.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?partNumber=802033&storeId=10252&langId=-2&catalogId=10152&UDC=TSV&MSG=TSV_OTO_INSTOCK&cookie=set&ddkey=http:TSVItemDisplay

Edit: I get the impression that it doesn't have a timer, which would make this totally different to the previous version, which is totally programmed and you just set the timer and forget about it.
A slow cooker without timer seems a bit odd.
Also the previous one had a rice/pasta cooking function, but no grilling or frying.
Pity about the timer, but without it I can't see the point.
Even the boiling function is timed, and it starts counting after the water starts boiling.
  • how confusing......... and here was me reading all the posts and now it is a completely different machine. You would have thought they would change the name.

It looks very much like the discontinued Tefal versalio.....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oa7u4vbp8H8 which was also sold through QVC.
  • I have just been complety wrapped up by this whole thread too.
I am gutted now that all the exciting things probably wont happen in the item I've just ordered! That being: It wont let me link here as I have only just registered... *sigh*

So to try help anyone else in the same boat, this is a link to the pdf instruction manual for the new one...
It also wont let me link this either for the same reason *really? spammers THAT bad?*
This book has the recipies to start you off really!
I've now ordered mine and i'll see if the thing will really get rid of some of the many machines we have in the kitchen (steamer, slow cooker etc)

    Anyone else getting one?
    Heidi
If anyone would like the link to the manual try this but add the begining h t t p : / / w w w . bit with no spaces

It's such a pity that they've discontinued the old version, I don't know what I'll do when mine dies...
I've been looking around, this is the one I might go for

Does anyone else know a machine that can fry, boil, slow cook, stew, steam etc (and has a timer) ?
