Morphy Richards Intellichef Multi Cooker

Hi all,

Anyone have a Morphy Richards Intellichef? I might have accidentally bought one in Makro today and wondering if it was worth it.

Apparently it's a 9 in 1 cooker, as it slow cooks, steams, frys, bakes, reheats, keeps warm, cooks rice and others.

I figured it would free up cupboard space but before I decide to take it out the box and keep it I was wondering if anyone had any experience of them?

Are they any good? i've been looking at these and not sure if to get one as they look quite pricey. I have a really small kitchen, so thought it might be ideal.
How are you getting on with yours? Any one else got one?

I bought one for £54.97 plus VAT in Costco at Trafford Park today. It was the last one unless they've got more in the warehouse.

I'm really looking forward to using it. Given that the instructions are so rubbish, I hope others will post some of their own recipes!

    Hi
I have been looking at the morphy richards intellichef all in one.
I need a new slow cooker and also a rice cooker so thought an all in one product would work well.

It seems to have a timer on it suggesting you can cook anything on timer setting.
Does anyone have one these to say how it works ? As does it cook complete meals in one- like the pasta and sauce together ?
As it is inially a dear product does anyone think it is worth the inital outlay ? and is it suitable for bulk cooking ?
Many thanks Im hoping people can help me save money here.

How is everyone getting on with it ? I started another post but found this one.
So can you cook the complete meal in one- ie pasta sauce and pasta at same time ?
Any information about these would be great , thanks x
  • I got one too - very clever gadget. I did a casserole tonight and it was fab.

Argggg, just using mine today for the first time, had it months while the kitchen was done, and there is a slight smell of burning I'm hoping its because its new and its burning off if you know what I mean.

I've just put in a gammon joint, £3 from Somerfields, I'll be back later to let you know how it tastes, off to Ikea with some books :)

oh and I agree the instructions are pretty carp :(
  • how was it?

I love mine. Getting into the swing of starting things and going onto slow cooking
  • It was good, better than in the old slow cooker I have to say. Put it on boil for 10 minutes then slow cook for 5 hours as per the recipe book. Like the OP I'm looking forward to "frying" the meat for a casserole in the pot before slow cooking too and may try a cake at the weekend.

Oops, you remember I said there was a bit of a burning smell, just discovered that there was a layer of that soft packaging stuff underneath the bowl which is now thoroughly stuck to the base :(

Also noticed yesterday that I had left two bits of polystyrene packing holding the cutlery thingy in place in the dishwasher, been there for several weeks, the moral of the tale? Make sure you removal all packaging before using anything new!
