Yes, but the poster could use his unlimited UK call (01 & 02 prefix) allowance to access 18866/1899/1815 for calls to countries outside of those offered free of charge in the bundle.

Yes, and they could also use the 0808 Freephone Access Numbers as well as the 020 ones ,but different rates tend to apply.

I'm not sure if different rates apply to overseas destinations for users accessing via 08 0r 02?

Run that past me again would you?

If the poster signs up to CPW Talk3 International calling plan, he gets unlimited free calls to numbers starting 01/02. Therefore he could still use 18866/1899/1815 via their 02 access numbers in order to call countries outside of the 28 free countries bundled with the TalkTalk plan.

I'm looking to sign up to the Talk3 plan for the international calls alone, would never use ADSL for a connection anyway. Is it worth recommending? Or are there cheaper providers out there who can offer unlimited* calls to canada for £20 a month?

*unlimited by talk talk's definition is 70 min call (and then you'd hang up & redial lol)

    many thanks :)

Dont you work for BT ?
How many pages of T&C do BT have ?
  • So does that mean I can use the 18185 with TalkTalk? Gets more confusing by the minute

I'm already with TalkTalk, part way through a 3 month contract for landline and have 14.99 broadband with them. Must admit broadband has been fine for me so far, no different than when I was with BT. My reason for asking about the 18185 number was to phone mobiles or the 0870 numbers, or have I got the wrong end of the stick and this doesn't work with the 0870 numbers?

According to the Callchecker you can call Canada for as little as 0p/min (but 5p connection charge) with TeleTop or, as another example, 0.5p/min (plus 4p connection charge) with 18185.

You could certainly make lots of long calls for £20/month if you wanted the Talk3 plan just to make calls to Canada!
