The day off has been fab! I've been to the library, done lots of cooking, had my mum over to tea, and worked two hours at the local shop. As a bonus, the shopkeeper gave me £20 tokens for the local theatre, which she had received as a gift and didn't want. I'm thrilled! I will take my mum to the next production by the local operatic society, which we always love but can't usually afford. Obviously working a 4-day week is not really sustainable in our circumstances but I will make the most of it for the next few weeks.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

do you have an asda within delivery range? As I find them so good for online shopping, and a lot easier to navigate site and products than tesco? I know for a fact the deliver large packs of loo roll etc, I do get all my big stuff from there as I dont drive and it makes things easier!:j Debt-Free-Wannabe! :jDeclutter/Ebay/Savings0

Good thing about Asda is that if order value stuff and they don;t have it in stock they upgrade it and charge you the value price - brilliant !Sealed pot challenge 822

Also Tesco round here (cos I live in the sticks) deliver here first and work there way back to the store so I always go for the 10pm - 11pm slot (sometimes free or 99p) and I know they will be here at 10 !Sealed pot challenge 822

1st October, monthly update time.
My new debt total is £1079 less than last month. I'm pleased about this, as it wasn't the easiest month. I had to buy clothes and shoes for the kids, and OH's earnings were a princely £58.79. The 3rd month in a row of earning next to nothing.
I hope I can make a similar drop this month. My freelance earnings will be less, though. I am due a tax rebate from HMRC, they said it was sent out some weeks ago so it must be caught up in the postal strikes. Once that arrives I want to pay it off my Egg card, which ends its 0% this month.
At home again today. I am having my hair cut and coloured at a posh salon for just £7.50, thanks to a special and very welcome deal.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -

I phoned HMRC and they hadn't in fact sent out the rebate, but were leaving it as a credit on my account. So I have again asked for it to be sent to me as a cheque, and that "will take two to three weeks". Humph.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620
