So you make out that you have soooo much stuff that you don't know where to start, and rather than take three times as much as you need you want to keep your packing to minimum.......

Hiya. I'm back from Dusseldorf now and my wardrobe was fine, I'm glad I bought the suit but probably didn't need to buy a handbag. The conference was interesting and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip. Next month, chicago!

Sadly my mobile died on the trip. I was given it in 2004 as it was already old then, so I can't complain. But I have to buy a new one and don't know how to choose one. Any advice anyone?

It depends what you want it for - if you want to just text and use calls, on a PAYG, then you can pick up phones reasonably cheaply in the supermarket etc.

If you want something that takes pictures, and does other fancy stuff, then you may want to go to one of the phone shops like Carphone Warehouse where they will actually let you try them out first.

If you are not fussed, I would go for the cheapest from Tesco - we have picked up some good £9.99 phones for our students before.....

I got a phone for £1! It was £9 in the Orange shop, but I had been accumulating cash towards a new phone without knowing it.
