Ooh thanks Hetticarro, I'll have a look into that. It sounds very easy actually, so might give it a try!

Thanks for the tip! :D x

Not a lot to report yet, still doing my scratchies, and am almost up to another £5 there. I have also ordered a G-pak from Money4Gold so we shall see how that goes.

I'm starting to run out of ideas, but I am getting paid on Friday so that will be another boost as I see some more pennies off the debt (and then not long till I duck under £7,000! :j).

I just want rid of my Natwest Overdraft now, it seems to be taking forever to pay back. Its at a ridiculous interest rate and is just bothering me that I still owe money to such idiots :rotfl:.

It started at £900ish and now its just under £600 so I guess I am making progress though! x

One more little sale today, £6.03! I've just sent off some gold today to Money4Gold as well, so we shall see if I get anything back from that (whatever I get, its going towards the Natwest Overdraft I've decided).

I have decided I'm setting myself unrealistic targets, and then getting annoyed when I don't reach them. So for now, I shall aim to be under £7,000 by the end of September. I think this is quite achievable, as my automatic payments will take me to around £7,100 ish, so that's only an extra £100 to find from somewhere. Will be nice to see it drop into another "bracket"! :D

We've got a busy weekend this weekend, with lots of errands to run tomorrow, then the day in Milton Keynes visiting my best friend on Sunday, a takeaway night with friends on Sunday night (I persuaded them, after they wanted to go out!) and then family visits on Monday (more free food!). The weekend after is the wedding of OH's best friend. OH says that once this is over he will give me his full attention so that we can set up a joint debt reduction plan, and also to start planning our wedding! x

Good idea bout the targets. The worst thing you can do is set unrealistic targets because then you will feel demoralised when you cant achieve them. You are doing really well anyway!

Sounds like you have got a fun weekend planned, hope you have a good time!

  • So its been a few days since I last posted, and a slightly "off-the-wagon" weekend as far as debt repaying goes.

I had an optician's appointment on Saturday and was disgusted to hear that my direct debit is shooting up again (they are an absolute nightmare, I've had so many problems with them) so I've decided to cancel and will order my lenses online, and have a yearly check up somewhere. It will work out a LOT cheaper! ;) I'm on the basic lenses which hurt and dry my eyes out and it costs £25 per month, I can get the super-duper Acuvue ones for that price (I got measured for them on the pretence that I was thinking of upgrading so know my prescription! :rotfl:)

Sunday I went to Milton Keynes to visit my best friend who lives up there, and we had a TGI Friday lunch (bit naughty!). This cost around £30 for me and OH which is not great, but I don't feel too bad as we've not been out in ages. We then met some other friends on Sunday night and had a takeaway (v.naughty - £15 - oops!) and a bottle of supermarket own vodka together with a 5am bedtime, oops again! :rotfl:

Oh well, for falling "off the wagon" I don't think it was TOO bad! :D

So I'm back on the wagon now. This week I am anxiously waiting my cheque for the gold to see how much that was worth, and have posted all my ebay sales. I am running out of things to list so will have to try and think of some other things to do. I already do surveys, scratchcards, quidco etc. I may look into doing babysitting, or making my own jewellery or something like that.

We've got OH's best friend's wedding on Saturday as well so the debt busting may be a bit quiet this week and then full steam ahead from next week onwards. The aim for this month: to get under £7,000! :j x

One weekend off is ok, we're all allowed that.
I'm running out of things to sell as well but need to have a root around again to make sure. I keep looking at the same stuff though lol
  • Ha ha, me too! I think I need to be ruthless - if I don't want it and its not sold after 3 listings then its going to the charity shop! x
