Hi. I've heard SW is good but don't know how it works. Do I have to join a meeting to get the info?

    Hi Bookie

There seems to be quite a lot of info on the SW website which appears to be free (I've jut been looking to see if I think I can stick to it in which case I might join this challenge). There are even 7day menus to get you started. I expect some info will be missing (so that its worth people paying to go to the meetings) but it might be a good start.

Have you ever tried the cadbury chocolate option drinks Beanie? I have the turkish delight one and its only 2 syns a cup........gives you the chocolate fix.

I try to distract myself when I get a craving for chocolate/crisps/cakes/sweets/french cheese/biscuits...........:rotfl:

I go and do a little job and its seems to work, sort of like when you stop smoking, the craving passes.

I have just been out for a short 1 1/2 mile walk with OH in the pouring rain!

Lou (or anyone else who knows about slimming world)

Once you join is there some forumla for working out what things are 'free' or how many sins things are or do you need to look up each item, i.e. each brand of yoghurt on the SW website or books?
(I know with WW you can calculate points by knowing the SatFat & Calories for example).

Also I know vaguely about red & green days but I'm a bit concerned that it will be hard to do for a veggie - I've looked on the SW website at a free 7day vegetarian plan and it seemed to be full of quorn products. Now I'll eat them now and then but wouldn't want to be having pre-prepared stuff like that everyday.

    Any thoughts?
