Well in that case I declare my kitchen as my first HHC although it prob needs half a day not half an hour :o. Will give it a quick half hour after my shower (been up since 7 and done sweet FA ) and then will sort out the HM chicken korma that I intend sticking in the SC and then maybe, just maybe, I will give it another going over after that :D

re the swine flu - I think everyone should be prepared just in case. Not that you might die, just so that you can contain it when you get it. Things to do now are stock up on tissues and lemsip type cold and flu remedies (or even just paracetemol) to help with the fever and headaches and get your flu friend network in place. Might be a good idea to catch up on the flying as well! And, if you or a family member has it, good hygiene is the key. Do the catch it, bin it, kill it thing (tissue when you sneeze or cough, pop it in the bin, wash your hands). The germs, apparently, last for 15 minutes on soft furnishings and up to 24 hours on hard surfaces so get in a goodly supply of an antibac spray and clean regularly.

It's a virus, so anti-bacterial spray won't help ;), it'll just help grow superbugs :D (can you tell I'm not a fan of antibacterial everything!). Just general good hygiene and wiping surfaces with your normal surface cleaner/disinfectant/hot soapy water should work. If you're worried about what you might pick up when you're out and about, you can use hand gel.

Otherwise, soappie's right - don't cough & sneeze all over other people (or let them cough & sneeze on you), wash your hands, and make sure your house is clean and well-ventilated. A healthy diet and regular light exercise will help boost your immune system too, so make sure you eat plenty of veg, a decent amount of fruit, and go out for a brisk walk in the [STRIKE]rain[/STRIKE] fresh air every day (and open the windows at home and in the office).

It's a good excuse to do your cupboard & freezer inventories and stock up in case you don't feel like going out for a few days, but there's probably no need to panic buy.

I've been to the gym this morning, so I'm about to sort my laundry, then have a shower, and then I might plug in my work laptop and see what's happening... don't let me forget I have to go to the school for a meeting at 10.45! It's a 10 minute walk...

    Morning lovelies!

Caught up with the thread last night/this morning but can't remember a thing so Hi's, well done's, hugs & congrats.

I'm still stripping wallpaper  I'm paying for my laziness when I moved in cause there's 3 layers on :o and it's stuck like glue, but, I'm winning, just a little bit to persevere with this morning and I have to do it this morning cause OH's coming round to plaster today  I hate being rushed lol.

It's bucketing down so as you do, I went into town, I was the first one into Argos and the first one served lol took about 20 mins all in, came home drenched so rescued the soggy washing that's been on the line for 3 days and that's now in the WM.

Work @ 11 for 3 hrs so best get a wriggle on.

Re swine flu - just do what you do normally! I am of the opinion that if you are going to get it then you are going to get it. I certainly wouldnt have been getting over protective or over zealous with the cleaning. I said it on a different thread (and sorry if it sounds heartless) but it is a flu - we are only getting scared because people have died from it but there are many people who die from 'normal' flu every year. However having said that - I can understand why people who have loved ones considered at risk are taking extra precautions

    Morning all

Greenbee - I'm with you on the antib stuff - at best a waste of money, at worst:eek:

Dusty's dynamic water feature was in operation last night - shame nobody could see if under the cover of darkness! No lying water left just the black sludge. Highways due out on the 29th with their heavy machinery but my mate Phil's boss rang this morning to highlight the case;)

Noted the keeping paperwork question but see it was answered (Like AnWs Mum I have LOTS of P60s...)

Thanks for the Blackcurrant cordial recipe -Dusty and Pen. I may well try that as I have 12 jars of jam which along with the reast of the stock, is enough, not least because I still have 2 from last year...
and reading through it seems that de-stemming needn't be to thorough;)
Now I have to double check on the pruning of said bushes. I read (while googling for a recipe) that the branches which have fruited should be pruned back, which would explain the HUGE harvest this year as I hard pruned 2 years ago. Apparently that will kick start growth for the next year...

I have washed the towels and I have tumbled them as it's chucking down. I have done my errand and had a :coffee: so I am going to have a bath now..

Anyway I shall pop a list up shortly...
