Morning all, hope you are all bright eyed and bushy tailed on this lovely morn
Ugh what a thunderstorm we had last night, the lightening was spectacular, and the thunder! Well Jet certainly enjoyed the thunder, he spent all the time barking at it..lol
Had a lovely time last night when I went for my Indian Head Massage. Ooooh I have never had such a good night sleep as I did after this, although I did wake up early. But I was totally refreshed and raring to go.. I have booked a regular monthly appointment for this as I thought it was so refreshing and I really enjoyed it. Plus the girl is giving me a discount as I am friend of her sisters who is also going to be going once a month with meIt was a really weird feeling while it was being done, but wow is all I can say. I felt myself untension afterwards when I was sitting down waiting for T to finish her session. And boy was I hungry..I came home and had egg on toast..lol. We've also agreed to be G's reiki studies in September when she does her Reiki II so am really looking forward to that. Toots I would highly recommend it, you are sitting there for 40 mins of total bliss and the benefits afterwards - well wow is all I will say!!! Not sure about the reflexology but after talking to G she is going to give me a wee taster next time I go for my massage, so we will see.
Dusty hope everything goes okay today with probate. *Hugs*
Scared hope you're mouth isn't so sore today, but please rest up.
Soappie - sherry trife reminder
Hmm now not sure how I feel about this swine flu, it's too close to home for comfort now. A little boy of 6 has died in Strood, which is about 15 miles away from me. Although if he went to Medway Hospital then gods help the poor little mite, they don't know there wotsits from their wotsits, they are a really terrible hospital. Ok that's me off my soap box re the hospital. Can you tell I hate Medway Hospital..lol Also I've got a friend coming round for a cuppa this afternoon and her school, that she teaches at, has had confirmed cases of swine flu. I'm wondering if I should greet her at the door with a mask on and tell her to sit about 10 feet away from me and not touch anything..:rotfl: No seriously do you think I should tell her not to come round or just carry on as normal? Thankfully DH hasn't had any cases at work, which I am really surprised at although they are all under a scrupulous cleaning regime there I would be surprised if any germs got through to them..
Oh well off to do my 40 items of ironing before it gets too hot, then shower and potter doing my list afterwards.

Morning all
Thanks for the trifle reminder Carlsberggal and Natty
Natty - wish we had the storms, but once again they've passed us by. It's still v. humid though.
Carlberggal - and everyone else - re the swine flu - I think everyone should be prepared just in case. Not that you might die, just so that you can contain it when you get it. Things to do now are stock up on tissues and lemsip type cold and flu remedies (or even just paracetemol) to help with the fever and headaches and get your flu friend network in place. Might be a good idea to catch up on the flying as well! And, if you or a family member has it, good hygiene is the key. Do the catch it, bin it, kill it thing (tissue when you sneeze or cough, pop it in the bin, wash your hands). The germs, apparently, last for 15 minutes on soft furnishings and up to 24 hours on hard surfaces so get in a goodly supply of an antibac spray and clean regularly.
I'm going to do the utility area today I think.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Soappie - thanks for the reminder to stock up on stuff just in case. I'm very lucky as I have lived in this village since 1970, kids/mum/dad/sister/neices/friends who all live here too, apart from my brother, so have good network in place for if we do.To love and be loved is the greatest happiness of existance - Sydney Smith0
