hello everyone - what are you up to?
have just been brought home by Jo and her Mum and ther are off to her home now with LO.
unfortunately - no manicure - poor Jo was gutted and annoyed but rightly so - when we arrived at the salon there was no record of the appointment for today - eventually the receptionist found it booked for next friday!!! apparently the woman who was on yesterday and took the booking no longer works ther so whether she no good at her job or maybe it was a genuine mistake or did she do it to cause trouble for the salon??? who knows! anywa we said we would sort out another appointment and then later when we were in Boots the duty manager phoned Jo and apologised (she had been at lunch when we called) and thanks to Jo they are going to send vouchers by way of an apology !!!!!!!
So my manicure wont cost so much after all and i will have my pedicure too and maybe get my eye brows done!!!
it is one of the posher salons in the town and they wont want their reputation knocked.
Anyway it was a lovely day - great to see Jo again and meet her son S who is great fun and very handsome young man and her Mum - a lovely lady too. and we had a nice walk through the craft fair that was on in the high street - some lovely gifts and stuff.

Afternoon all,
Toots i'm sorry you didn't get your manicure. I'm glad you had a nice time though.
We've been to the Church fete and spent a fortune:rolleyes:. There wasn't much there this year, 5 mins and we'd gone all the way around. I don't think the weather has helped.
I've cleaned the bunnys out and put some more washing out.
I'm going to do a HHC at 4.30 if anyone wants to join me? I'm going to clear the top of my freezer and hoover & mop the Kitchen & Bathroom so i can get my last 2 stars and another heart.

Poohbear - I love my dry stone walls, luckily no cows here but children, chickens and cats do knock bits off. I am very slowly working on a mission to get a house leek in every crevice generously aided by my Dad who propogates them for me.
Triker- huge hugs re the house. If it is any comfort we were in a similar boat before we moved here - end terrace, one small reception, three small bedrooms and a tiny kitchen. It was just awful, given that I am claustrophobic and DH was used to living in the middle of nowhere. It was never home for us, and I used to avoid spending time in it, or cleaning it which is how I ended up on here in the first place.
Toots - Sorry about the manicure but in a pollyanna style at least there is a silver lining with the vouchers.
Me - from the Lincoln reference are you anywhere near Sleaford?

Awww Toots - i am sorry that you didn't get your manicure but also glad that you have had a great day with Jo, her DS and Mum.
I have managed another 20 mins in the ROD and hoover what little carpet I can see and also made DD's bed - she will just have to put the pillow cases on as I am pooped and need to sit to get my breath back before I go out in the car to get her.
Next lot of washing done and should really hang this out but must not be late to collect her on the first day...... would be a poor show if Mum was late yet again.
DS has done all the mowing - yipee - that is the front, back and silly bit of lawn at the side. He has also emptied the recycling bin and put th bags of rubbish out from DS ROD and wiped up. Nagging worked this time!
Right off to hanging out washing then into Lincoln in the rush hour - nice! - See you later:wave:
