I would have refused delivery personally?0 -
I had already taken in another part of my order and then this other box was bought to the door, so i didn't think of refusing delivery to be honest, i though it was too late.
Andrea ha refunded me £1.22. No goodwill payment or gesture, just £1.22.
I've a good mind to not shop with them after this. Also, the emails i get from them now don;t even say Mrs Katholicos...yesterday it said simply;
"Apologies - If you can let me know which items were rendered unfit for use as a result of the leak and I'll refund you as soon as I can.
Hope this helps
Andrea"
I commended Andrea a month or two ago for the good customer service i received, but this is now the way complaints are dealt with.
The problem is that AF know that they are one of the only discount/clearance food companies and that people on low incomes will buy from them, customer service then diminishes. I've seen it over the past couple of months how the responses have been with my own order, and the complaints on their facbeook page tell the story too.
At the end of the day, my money is my money and whether it is clearance food or not, i have a right to expect to take delivery of it in a decent state, and should it fail, to be reimbursed for the parcel.
I think i will email to express my disatisaction with the way this has been dealt with. Will let you know how i get on!Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

Hiya,
If something has leaked there maybe a chance that it has ruined the rest of your items.
I have given your order to the warehouse supervisor and he is going to re-pick your order and send it out to you.
Apologies
Kelly

Oh, thank you. Does that mean I shouldn't accept the damaged parcel from DPD?
=======================================
They shouldn't bring the damaged parcel out to you. thanks, perry.0 -

I don't think living on AF alone is realistic as there is no meat and little protein on there- if you don't count pasta n sauce. However, personally, it provides most of the lunches for 5 people in my house, most of the pasta, all of the rice, all of the bars and snacks, almost all the drinks, all the sauces and pickles, some of the tinned tomatoes, most of the cereal, lots of weird things like mango coulis and jars of aubergines- and definitely all the ryvita.0 -
i am going to put an order in, and i was pondering over the fruity brown sauce 5 x 1kg for 99p:rotfl:
http://www.approvedfood.co.uk/SAUCES_AND_PICKES/NEW_PRICE_Lakeshore_Fruity_Brown_sauce_1kg_squeezy_botttle
the thing is we dont use brown suace, mainly because we dont like it, BUT we do like BBQ sauce, so is there anyway of tweaking it and making a sort of BBQ suace? or what could i use it for, other than brown sauce:rotfl:.
i know that sounded loopy, but hayho at that price i am trying to convince myself to buy it.:DWork to live= not live to work0 -

And as it is mainly chemicals and water there is nothing to go wrong with it so long as it is sealed. Look through the thread and you will find that only occasionally we find the odd thing that is not quite the way you would expcet it to be- I can only think of the pineapple afer a while.

I don't mind, my dogs don't try to eat the polystyrene ones, they fight over the edible ones......Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0 -
There's somebody out there who needs training in packing - my Snowballs were squashed flat by the 3 x 1 litres of Orange juice which were in the same box, and the 8 jars of Blackcurrants were rolling around in another box on their own! Even so, the lid on one got dented and this has released the vacum so it leaked (just a little bit). The box containing the Snowballs and the Orange Juice had split before being put in the larger box, so as I lifted it out the contents came close to dropping on my foot!Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0
