Hi, I did my first Approved Foods order a week and a half ago. I did the order Wednesday night, and it was delivered early Monday afternoon. They didn't text me though, even though it does state that they will. This may vary with couriers, as obviously some drivers will be more efficient than others. I'd popped out for literally 10 minutes and they came in that time (typical
) and left my delivery with a neighbour. Overall though, I'm really pleased with them, the order was packed very professionally and the bargains you can find will definately have me buying from them again. HTH.

whats sos mix??0

Veggie sausage mix We use it for pasties, a kind of stuffing thing we have as a main meal, sausage rolls, pasties, stovies, sausage plait, pakora and sausages of course, sometimes if I'm being really efficient I make my own ravioli with it. Boys call it "Mum's homemade sausages" I'm not going to correct them
Scotch eggs too but only for parties and such because they are a faff! It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0 -

thanks0 -
I have ordered from them twice. My text comes very early in the morning giving a one hour slot for delivery. I think I now have enough food in the house to last me until next Christmas......seriously short of storage space so have banned myself from buying anymore.0

Hi hmc,
As your thread had dropped down the Old Style board I've moved it over to the Food Shopping and Groceries board to see if you can get more replies.
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.0 -

I'm eating A F chili & lime crisps dated december & they are fine not soft at all. I had some biscuits that were a bit weird, if I microwave say 4 at a time they are gorgeous. Also heat for a few seconds rolls & etc that are rtc.0 -

No, they don't if they're packaged in something air-tight which most products are. Nothing bad will happen to goods eaten after the "best-before" date. It just means that the manufacturers can't guarantee that the food will be in optimum condition after that date, not that they will become inedible.
I generally get a text-message from the shipping company (not Approved Foods themselves) early on the day of delivery giving me a one-hour slot and the package is always delivered within that time. Fabulous service!0 -
