Not best pleased, this is the second time i have ordered liquid/fluid products from AF and had this happen. I don't need the hassle of cleaning up all the mess, nor the inconvenience. Very disappointed. Andrea has offered to reimburse me for the cartons of juice that were affected, but that isn't really the point. Everything else in there had to be rinsed and wiped down and there was juice all over the floor etc.

Oh that's terrible. I had some 1.5l orange juices burst in a parcel so I know it's a big hassel, took me half an hour or more to clean up. And it was delivered next door so it was v lucky it didn't leak on her brand new hall carpet. Another time I had cous cous all over the floor, it had been screwed up into a little ball and exploded when I lifted it up.
It's all very well refunding the cost of the product, but we all buy up to the weight limit too so it wastes postage. We should start listing the good packers and the bad - I had 3 perfect parcels in a row, but the last one short changed me and the substitutions were a bit iffy. They always put their name on the packing list.
My parcels have all been a bigger box than that one except once, the best packers fill it up with empty boxes to stop the stuff rolling around. The small box time had 12 packets of biscuits in, and were 80% broken and 5% crushed to crumbs!
I would have been tempted to refuse the entire parcel and ask for a replacement if it was as bad as yours.

O/T, but..........I had a carelessly packed parcel from an online cosmetics company, in which a liquid soap container had cracked and coated everything (including a still very clean corner of the kitchen floor). I was asked if I would mind sending them a photo as evidence for their packing dept/courier, and a complete new order was send out that day for no extra charge.
So they'll get my custom again. One of the problems with AF is that they have a captive customer base and no real competiton, which is becoming more obvious as they expand. I've been lucky so far, with just missing items and broken biscuits. I think your order, katholicos, should have been entirely replaced.

even more O/T but about 30 yrs ago I used to pack & send out cosmetics parcels, they were quite small sturdy boxes and we didn't need much extra packing, but used tissue paper and polysterene "shrimp", those S shaped thingies. Well one customer mailed one shrimp back to us and said "I'm not sure what this is for, maybe a blusher applicator? But I didn't order it and am returning it to you.."

My brother gets a lot of work parcels delivered to his home, one time I was helping him clear up & gathered up a whole dustbin bag of shrimp. Only he said they aren't shrimp they are like cheesy whatsits... incredible things, when I poured water over them in the garden they disappeared into a small floury puddle. I think A F should investigate these floury expanded shrimp like things, I bet they are cheaper than bubble wrap which they've got mean on using lately.

I would definitely have expected to be reimbursed for the whole parcel. Then if you're getting it for free cleaning anything still useable wouldn't seem so bad.
Not terribly good customer service on that one.
  • Popcorn or starch based chips are fine, but I hate getting the polystyrene ones!
