I don't think the seals on them are very good, once air gets in they go off.
I shook them the ones that had gone off han big bts of mould floating in them. Hold them up to a light, only two of mine were off.

Dan is selling this at 2 for £1.50.
I buy this from Asda for 50p a packet

    yes, me too!

It doesn't seem that good a bargain from AF if the price has gone up by 25p per packet from what it could be bought at in the supermarket recently

Has anyone tried the seafood cocktail? If so can you tell me what is actually in it? I think I can definitely see mussels and squid but not sure what else is in there! :D

the gluten free ginger snaps are lovely, ds had a friend come round today who is coeliac, so it was nice to be able to put a plate of biscuits on the table without worrying

I haven't tried it but googled it and found this http://www.goodfoodandgifts.co.uk/Danish_Food_seafood_Cocktail.asp which says it contains...

A mixture of squid, mussels, cuttlefish, octopus, prawns, cockles, peppers, white wine vinegar, herbs & salt in a sunflower oil. It also retails at nearly £4 a jar!:D

Thanks for the info, it didn't actually say on the site what was in it, I made the picture bigger but still couldn't really see lol :rotfl:
I do like fish but I have never tried cuttlefish or octopus! It does seem quite a bargain though if it usually sells for £4! :D
  • Hi

Has anyone tried these choc puddings?

I've just bought a tray of these little individual choc sponge puddings, but there are no cooking instructions with them! They are just in a plain cardboard box. They are in small plastic bowls with a clear plastic film lid so I'm thinking that they can be microwaved - but does anyone know how long for?

Would a minute on high (max) be ok?

The rest of my order was great - really well packed and no damage this time!

    Thanks for any advice.

I've got the choccie puddings and the lemon ones, I will be 'warming them through' in the microwave, probably 30 seconds at a time.

My lemon ones look a good size and the pots are nearly full, but the chocolate ones are barely half way up the sides of the pots :(
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.
  • Yes, my choc pots are only half full as well - perhaps the sponge rises when it cooks? I haven't tried them yet - will probably have some tomorrow and let you know what they're like.
