I've got the instructions for the choc puds. PM me with an email address and I'll send a TIFF file over.
  • Thanks for the instructions - we tried them yesterday - they're not bad, quite rich so the amount in the tubs is just about right, any more and they would be quite sickly.

I placed my first order with AF on Saturday, selecting the national courier for delivery. Could anybody please tell me who the national courier is (so I know what time of day to expect him - courier drivers are regular as clockwork round here :) ) and also do AF send you a despatch email with a parcel number so you can track and trace?

Many thanks in advance for any help.

The standard National courier is DHL, although apparently they were trying out Parcel Force too a week or so ago. There should be an e-mail from DHL with tracking info, the ones from the alternative courier are useless! Not updated at all. I think the alternative national courier is a courier network such as the ones used by catalogues and sometimes other courier companies like Citylink, the van is usually plain white and I have had items from AF and from Citylink delivered by them. You are lucky if you get deliveries at the same time most days, sometimes we get ours from Citylink at 8.30 am and other days at 5pm!

Most catalogue companies use Home Delivery Network.

The carrier used by Approved Foods (if not DHL) is XDP Express.

As I said, I had no idea what company it was as the van was totally unmarked, just plain white, we also get deliveries that are tracked through Citylink from the same plain white delivery vans. I guess they must be sub-contracting to local couriers. I haven't seen any of my deliveries come from a van with XDP Express written on it, maybe it varies from one area to another?

My despatch advices have come from XDP Express, that's the only reason I know who they are.

I have only had one dispatch e-mail from the alternative courier (in 4 deliveries) and it was useless, it was not updated with delivery information at all! Basically it just said when the goods were picked up and that was it, so I still had no idea when they would arrive. Did yours get updated with a delivery date or say when the goods arrived at a local depot Raksha?
