    I've been Money Tipped!
I'm going to make some time for some bulk cooking, open one of the huge sauce containers and make a few shepherds pies for the freezer! I have a sack of potatoes waiting and a very large bag of soya mince (our preference) Any sauce not used I will freeze in those takeaway containers (they take the same quantity of a jar/can of sauce) I'm wondering if the sauce would be good for flavouring stews and meat pies as well?

I'm running out of space too and have resorted to boxes under the spare bed!

Could anyone please tell me what I do with the packets of Lloyd Grossman rissotto base I got in my lucky dip box? There are no cooking instructions on the packet and no luck with searching on line. Thanks :)

I saved this when I bought them (haven't tried any yet, so don't know if this needs any adjustments):

    Usage Instructions

1 Cut open pack and completely break up the product into smaller pieces
    2 Heat a flat-based pan on a stove top
3 Add a medium ladle of hot water (118ml)
4 Heat the liquid to just boiling point
5 Add risotto to the pan
6 Stir the risotto over a high heat for 45 seconds to 1 minute
7 Season with pepper and serve as required

I found I needed to cook them for more like 3 or 4 minutes and use a little extra water. I think there was a thread on the approved food own forum on these. They really needed breaking up well as they were like a brick when they came out of the packet. Final result tasted good though.

I'm just not quite sure how I ordered 25l of extra virgin organic olive oil. However, there it is in the hallway.I was thinking I may have thought 2.5 litres and tbh I wouldn't have been surprised. My husband took delivery yesterday and he was a little taken aback.:o
Anyway- looking on the website I see I must have won the prize draw:p
Which is great. So all I need to do now is find a way of gettting it round to my friends- they will have to bring a bottle I think.:rotfl:
