    Calleyw,

i cant see what the problem is...

it wasnt Af fault about the courier delivering next door,

The labels on the soup was prob taken off in the factory, so nothing to do with Dan. As for the Dents in the tins, there is nothing wrong with Dented tins, as long as they havent 'blown'

Did you read anything I wrote. I did say that the carrier problem was out of their control.

But it still reflects badly on the company. I work for a mail order company in customer services and the amount of complaints I get about deliveries are unreal. I explain it is out of my control once it hits royal mail and our carriers. People give a wrong address, don't go and collect the item from the sorting office and say the carriers depot is too far away to collect their item. The carrier and royal mail make it my problem and it reflects badly on the company as a whole, and we get negative feedback from customers. Even though it is totally our of my control.

Also I was not moaning about no labels I was saying so people where aware.

And thank you I am well aware about seams blowing on cans I believe you will find I was the second person to reply to a thread on this board dented tins being ok to use.

Personally if I get dented tins I use those first but seeing as I don't eat soup and it is the wrong weather to eat it and I did not choose to spend £2.49 to buy dented tins which is the main thrust of my complaint. Also it was not one or two I only had one non dented out of 24. I know the way royal mail/Carriers treat boxes I see it day to day. So I believe they where damaged in transit. As there 24 cans in one box with no packing between the rows.

Yes it is cheap but I don't expect a bad service or damaged goods.
I am sure people who do internet shopping don't accept damaged goods. So why should I, if I have not choosen to buy damaged/dented or out date of foods. All the items I choose to buy where in date and not described as being damaged in anyway.

24 cans for £2.49, nuttily cheap. In fairness it does say de-identified.

Not being funny, they may have been dented beforehand, that is a cheap price?

Does anybody read what is posted. As I said in my next post everything I bought was de-identfied but I can see what supermarkets they come from. The removal of the labels was at source. Which is fine but not what I was expecting as I like to see nutrition info. And I was just letting people know.

If I had know the cans were dented I would not have bought them at any price. As with time seams on dented cans get weaker. So if they where dented from source they are not as described on AF's website.

No matter what the price I will not accept bad services or shoddy or not as described goods.

Calleyw yes i did read what you wrote....

but you seem to be bitting at everyone who doesnt agree with how you are making such a big thing about your dented cans and de-labelled cans, which are still perfectly ok to eat..

I was one of the first batch of mse'rs to order from approved foods,

at at £2.49 for 24 is it really worth moaning about?, If they were totally trashed and you couldnt eat or drink the item, then fair enough, i would agree to phone,

I am sure you have saved a heck of alot more than that on your other items you have bought....

edit.. you are also have conflicting feelings..... in the post you replied to me you said you were not moaning about the tins not having labels, but yet in your reply to itsallinthemind, you like to see the nurtitional info etc

    :rotfl:I often mis read

But no, I did read your post fully and understood it, I was just reiterating what you had said :)

I'm just surprised the delivery company managed to dent 22 out of 24 cans, if they were wrapped well, it seems they could have possibly been shipped like that?

Have you taken a picture to show AF's?

I've never bought anything de identified as was concerned about no labels, what do they normally do with de identified things like packets, do you know out of interest?

Typically it involved a black permanent marker.

and stuff I've bought too, little black lines dotted all over the label covering up "Asda" "Netto" etc but the rest of it quite readable.

I ordered 100 packs of douwe & egberts coffee yesterday , and the parcel arrived today. Me and the OH reckon we now have enough for 2 years.

Cos it was a big order (for me) I phoned first to check they had the stock. Andrea answered within a couple of rings and did a quick stock check. I then put the order through. Excellent service. This was my 6 or 7th order with Approved foods and I've never had anything broken, smashed or crushed. Glass jars are normally bubble wrapped for extra protection.

The previous order we bought a fair amount of the "hot" flavoured Lindt chocolate with chilli or cayenne, and its the most delicious chocolate. If you like chocolate liqueurs you'd love em. The spice gives a little kick similar to the alcohol in a liqueur. My favourite is the grenadine and chilli.

Also had 2 cases (48 packets) of lyttos mixed couscous. The spicy flavoured one is really nice. I had one packet for lunch with some roasted chicken, it was lovely and easy to prepare. Although it says that one packet serves 2 people but was just right amount for me... The tomato flavoured one isnt quite as good.
