Poor baby.:rotfl:0

In case anyone is still interested in the car seat issue, we were in a similar situation with our two big boys (and to a previous poster, not all babies are big due to a junk food diet ).
Ours outgrew the small seats at about 4-5 months but were too young to go into a forward-facing seat (we too were told about the sitting up unaided for 30 minutes rule), so we went for a seat that can be both rear and forward facing (this one - think it has been mentioned before).
Yes it's not very easy to get the baby in/out of, but if that's the safest alternative, that's what I will do.
And as it can be used up until 4 (ish), we only need three car seats per baby, so I think that's reasonable.
My DS2 is 24lb at 7 months and can sit up unaided for a long time, but is still in a rear facing seat. IMHO a 5-month-old should not be put int a forward facing one; the rules are there for a reason.
And no comment whatsoever to any of the weaning "conversation". :silenced:0 -

Everyone on here is an expert, and he is my son, and our child and we shall deal with him how we feel fit, we decided to feed him solids (chocolate mouse, yogart) because he wanted to eat them. He would have his bottle then enjoy part of a yogart (usually his sisters) then carry on with the bottle. It come too the point that we needed to buy the tommee tipee spoons as the usual metal items were a little too wide for his mouth. Today he is 5 months, 2 days, born 25 or 26th nov, cant remember without looking at calander but im not really good at birthdays, technical information on how to fix a state of the art fighter jet, or high speed fibre optic mil std databuses then yes, birthdays no.
I must say that he has been eating foods for a few months now, its not like we did feed him food straight from the frying pan, but little things like baked beans sauce, or gravy, simple things that could fit into the spoon to get his taste buds working and we found as time went on he prefered the food too the bottle. First real food he eaten was beans and sausaged in the blender followed by a bottle, we dont starve him of the bottle but he can eat the food, then pack in a 7oz blue bottle and ask for more. We found from about 4 weeks old that he had to go onto the 2nd stage teats as he wanted more from the bottle than supplied, from there he's sat on about 6oz for 3-4months which in the end due to the waking up at 2am from going down at 11pm for a feed, we put him onto blue milk and we have found that he can sleep through till abuot 5-30am, well thats the usual time i get up for work, as i have to commute an hour leaving at 6-30am for a 7-30am start. Then the wife has him during the day, i return about 6pm usually by the time i drive the 37miles home, then the little !!!!!! is fed again, sometimes food but most of the times it ends with a bottle, he use to fall asleep with the bottle but now its too the point that you can put him into the baby walker and give him his toys (crinkle book, rattle thing) and straight into his mouth.
In the past week, wife said he has signs of his 2nd tooth coming through his gums, not yet seen this as ill be back home on thursday afternoon ishy, wifes probably not been online as probably packing to go away on holiday next week, managed too pick a holiday up to majorca for £215 for 2 people self catering, never had a honeymoon so could call this one of them, but were off to ibiza next month with all the kids, no not san antonio bay, or ibiza town, but some little place es cana or something, then were back from there, throw in a trip away with work and off to the isle of man tt, whilst were there mum will have the kids, mum has 3 children, me, my sister and little brother (18) and were all ok, we were fed food early ages, i was walking at 9months old so not suprised if edward is so.
Well as too feeding chocolate, well why not eh. A little piece now and then placed onto his gums whilst walking round tesco watching him munch on it with it all around his lips, rather funny but still wants more as when you go near his mouth tries to take your finger off. Yes chocolate maybe a little harsh, but was them milky bar button things so maybe not too bad as they are marketed for kids.
Well the answer too the car seat question has been answered over and over again, but hey everyone jumped on the feeding thing of the first few posts, ah well nevermind eh, like i said before everyone is experts and he is a happy baby, lots of smile, rarely cries, well maybe when he has been asleep and woken up by his sister, or if we have been out shopping and asleep in the pram and wakes up for feed but were not ready, i bet you all class that as neglect or something.
I'd hate too hear what you thing about us having him sitting up in the pram pram part at 5months, its ok, the straps reduce so that he cant sit forward and has a nice little foot muff thing. Should be good as the whole thing cost over £400, its one of them mamas and papas pliko p3 things in alpha..

I KNOW exactly what my baby's food is made out out.
A wide variety of fresh (mainly organic) fruit and vegetables with small amounts of protein such as chicken or beef.
I KNOW this because I make it all for the little chap!
It's cheap as anything to make, takes no time whatsoever and is wholesome and nutritious for him. Furthermore he loves it, but then again he has never had any alternative so thats the way his tastes buds are developing.
You may think me cruel for not providing my 'precious little darling' with all the wonderful opportunities your 'little f*****' is getting, but I can live with that!0 -

I could think of one organisation that might be interested in it ...
... and it's not Cadburys they already seem to have your 5 month old on their mailing list.0 -

No, but the things you have been feeding your baby are full of salt which a babies kidneys struggles to deal with. They shouldn't be getting more than 0.5g of salt a day until they are at least 12 months old, i think if you check baked beans and sausages you'll find there is more than that in there.0 -

Don't forget the gravy :eek:0 -

Ditto with my DS.
I wouldn't want my DS to experience the same sort of "wonderful opportunities" either.0
