I love the idea of giving flower seeds (although I'm not sure what the guests will think of this?!). How are you doing yours Rinroo? Because the ones you buy from wedding suppliers are really expensive!!

I am getting my wild flower seeds from suttons.co.uk They are perfect as you sow them between March - May ( we get married in April so perfect timing) and I just googled "seed packet template" found one, printed it then (when I get round to it) i will use that to make my own template and add my text/images and instructions.

Haven't done them yet but will post a piccy when I do

Me and my OH are going to Sicily (where he's from!) and ordering our Bomboniere from the Bomboniere shop down the road from his family's house! They are little silk cushion-y things with really pretty embelishments on and work out about 4 euros each. We wanted to get married in Sicily originally but due to the expense now the Euro is dear we thought we would try and get as much authentic little bits and pieces for the wedding as we can!

I'm gonna make cupcakes I just bought the boxes off of ebay and I'm gonna put a cupcake in each one, mebbe put a wedding verse in the top <I'm interested in the wedding trivia btw ;) >
Ice the cup cakes in differnt colours then put one of those "just married" love hearts on the top of each one.
The boxes are plain white so I'm gonna tie a bow round them in navy ribbon to reflect my colour scheme :)

Hope to make the cakes the month before and freeze them all :D less hassle on the day then :)

Could I ask how far before the day you will be icing them? I've been toying with a similar idea but I really don't want to end up with a ton of cupcakes to ice the day before, or (possibly worse lol) stale cupcakes!

Cupcakes freeze pretty well and I've frozen leftover buttercream with no problems - also victoria sponge with jam and buttercream in. I think I'll need to do a few trial runs before I'm happy with them - I'm sure Paulie will be gutted that he has to eat more cake :rotfl:

I think I could do them 3 weeks to a month before without any issues - might have to watch out for freezer burn as I'm gonna need to freeze them on a flat tray to start with so as not to squish the icing.
Got no idea how lovehearts will freeze  another test run required ;)

We freeze cake for lunches for work ;) so little sponge buns sometimes iced with plain icing. That way you can grab one out the freezer and it defrosts by lunchtime keeping yogurt cool and you cant eat them when your tempted to scoff the lot cos you have to wait for them to defrost ;) :T
