Sold nowt for about 10 days now, just been through all my listings trying to make them sound better, took ages - maybe that'll help. Spot the person who has no money for going out on a Saturday night! Mind you at least it avoids the Eurovision Song Contest which the other half is watching.

Hope that a gentle whinge will result in some sales..........

I sold the mobile phone today which had attracted all the Nigerian scammers. O have checked my account and the money has gone through. I'll have to look out for phones to sell on again. I have made £20-£25 depending on postage costs tomorrow.

    Hi all

After reading this thread I invested £3 in some medical text book from a charity shop. It goes at £80 on Amazon, but so far nobody bought it. (There is another copy thought listed)

    ???

I have read on this thread that there are some books listed on Amazon with 'buyer waiting' tag next to it.

Is there a way to search Amazon and pull out a list of all 'buyer waiting' titles? Or is it an insane quesion?

    Many thanks for your ideas.

PS: it is my first post on this thread, so I hope it is not off-key

  • Hello SoScrooge - welcome to the thread.

Do you think that your book could be overpriced? there are some sellers that just seem to pick figures out of the air and sit back and hope - if it's one of the big sellers they can sit on it for years and not care about it selling. If you've had it at a high price for a while I'd reduce it a little and see if that will help. Also did you check it out on www.bookfinder.com to see if the price of £80 is common?

The list of buyers waiting is just open to pro merchant sellers but from what I gather (although I'm a pro merchant I've nver had access to the list) it's so long you get swamped trying to get through it all, we have our own mini version that we are adding to as we find good selling books.

I've just got hold of som more cheap medical texts books. one of which cost me £3.99. The Amazon New price for this is £58 but there is a bookseller at this link:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/tg/detail/offer-listing/-/0195112784/all/026-9363120-0619622

selling it for £9.99 claiming its new straight from the publisher. The next cheapest in the amazon copy at £58 but you have to wait 4 to 6 weeks for this. Other booksellers are then selling at £65 upwards but will despatch immediately. In the used list people are selling for around £25.00 ish

My question is should I go with the crowd and price around the Amazon price or less and why is the cheap seller selling at only £9.99. Can I find out if he has multiple copies for sale at this price?
