Egg Credit Card - £40.86
Total = £40.860 -
I also had a less-then-pleasant experience with ScreenSelect - had a message back saying :-
"As is stated in the terms and conditions for this promotion, a minimum of 10 unique titles must be added to your selection list at registration to qualify for this promotion. According to our records, you added no titles to your selection list at the time of registration and did not qualify for the £20 voucher".
Could find no reference to this from the registration process, but the bottom line is that I got no £20 voucher from them, and will NEVER use them again.

This "FREE Trial - FREE Voucher" offer will end during May 2006 so sign up now to avoid disappointment. The offer is only valid for first-time subscribers to ScreenSelect.co.uk or any other Video Island operated service. Offer may not be redeemed in conjunction with any other offer and is limited to one per household. The free trial expires 21 days after registration or when you receive your sixth DVD rental, whichever is the sooner. A valid credit/debit card is required to redeem the offer. I too have been royally shafted by screen select.
Sent back my DVDs about 5 days before I was due to be charged. Some how, they arrived at 10AM - my card was charged at the crazy hour of 5AM!
Also, they are claiming I didn't but 10 DVDs in my selection! I did in fact do this and secondly in the terms i didn't state there was a time period for me to do this. I've emailed them this and going to see what happens. I AM not a happy boy :-|
Also emailed dvd.co.uk who say screenselect send them a list of people who are eligable so calim they can't help me either.
bottom line: NEVER AGAIN and screenselect can burn it hell!No reliance should be placed on the above.0 -
^ Contact your card provider and state that this is an unauthorised payment!!"I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0

I sent my DVD's back on a friday and cancelled on monday after. They received the DVD sometime monday morning and my cancellation was complete. I thing that would be useful to OP is that maybe when send the DVD's back you should get a certificate of posting to prove when they were posted. HTH0 -
I never got mine & it's been 6 weeks now. I had 11 dvds in the list initially until they sent out my first 2, when it got reduced to 9. Maybe that's why, they want you to have 10 in there all the time in order to qualify for the voucher?0

some good news...
...I got my voucher!
Apparently, dvd.co.uk did try issue with me with a voucher, it must have just gone in my junk box so the re-sent the code. So, I'm quite happy.
However, screenselect are trying to screw people, and it looks like they are usuing the bullsh** excuse of the selection list. Didn't say anywhere in the terms and conditions about having to put them in within a certain timeframe.No reliance should be placed on the above.0
