Hiphouse - I just read your post from yesterday just now, I'm sorry you're in such pain - but very glad you know you need to look after yourself first, above everything else.
Duchy - wow. The overtime sounds good tho!
Hypno - I understand the need for strong coffee. I'm lucky I'm still working at home and can use Mr T's! EDIT - I was thinking of your DD as all the news about British students in Beijing was breaking. I do hope she gets to go....

Hi Hypno & all
Hope you got the cheque sorted!
My £20 lasted about a week. Which is rubbish! made me really look at what i'm spending it on so have started again today in the hopes of making it last 2 weeks!0 -
Phew!
I was coming on to fess up that my £20 had well and truly disappeared over the weekend on truly essential items like Pinot and wrinkle creamThought I was going to be in trouble but seems I'm not the only one!
I'm on hols this week. My parents are coming to stay for a few days. Usually we go out loads and eat out but I've deliberately been shopping and got meals planned for most of the time! Probably off to races tomorrow so may have a £20 limit on my bets but who knows I may end up with some winners :j
Just hope the sun stays around but forecast doesn't look promising.
So when does the next £20 challenge start - even though I feel I failed a bit I didn't buy any works on lunch days or choccie at petrol station etc so sure I've saved through it.
Off to catch up on everything I've missed over the weekend :rotfl:Looking for the perfect home and saving to make becoming a MFW easier

Hypno - if the trip is cancelled does the school have insurance to refund you? Would be worth finding out from the school as even if they have broken up you may be able to get hold of someone this week. Also if they dont it may be worth looking in to purchasing travel insurance that will cover it yourself.0

Ooh - thanks for that Taka, I know its morally suspicious to climb Uluru but I still can't resist it! We will be down there for a few days so I will take your advice - thanks
Sorry for thread hijack Hypno! There was a sign explaining why you are encouraged NOT to climb and this was reinforced at the cultural centre nearby too (Uluru is sacred to the local aborigines) but no one will stop you... When we started the base walk the climb was open but when we got back it had been closed as someone had collapsed up on the rock... The climb is very exposed and if its too hot or windy it will be closed anyway. If you really really want to climb you may have to stay for a few days just to make sure you get to. Some friends went just after the rainy season and it was so lush and green with loads of flowers! Enjoy - its fabulous!
Sorry for the hijack Hypno...
Sorry for continuing the hijack!
When I went we were there for 3 days and each day the signs were up to say no climbing
So we did the round the base, viewing it at sunrise and sunset a couple of times and explore the Olgas (the do look a bit like Homer Simpson lying on his side!!)
So jealous, really want to go back one day :jLooking for the perfect home and saving to make becoming a MFW easier

£10.86 still! Had an extreme NS wknd!
It does wind me up that I am in so much debt as I don't really spend much (or am tight, whichever way you choose to look at it!)
So if the challenge starts again, do those left with a little at the end get a rollover? Or are we *forced* to spend what's left on essential non-essentials?Pround to be dealing with my debts! DFW Nerd # 1201

I don't have another £20 available to me to start another challenge with
Still waiting for cheques to clear...ebay buyers to pay up...etc etc. Until then, I haven't got two halfpennies to rub together! So enforced NSDs until payday on Thursday :rolleyes:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes.
