Afternoon all, had a lovely day, had some friends round for lunch, hoping I have started a trend and they will invite me back. Made a very small amount of mince bulk out to feed 10! It was very tomatoey to say the least.
Just going to book a trip to go and climb Ayers Rock (Uluru) because apparently they are going to stop people climbing it in the next few months. I think we'll look into hiring a camper van which would be good fun.
That sounds amazing,
Have a lovely Sunday all, the children are back to school tomorrow and I start my Uni course.
Another monument (best description) is the Sphinx - there on about covering it up, and only unvailing on certain ocassions.
Being nosey (as always- sorry), what course are you doing?xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Duchy, I would say go for the overtime - you will be shattered, but as a one off for a whole load of cash, it would be worth it.
Well, Monday morning is here, with the usual Monday morning feelings that go with it! Still, only a week at work then I am off next week.....5 days to get through. Don't get me wrong, I love my job, but I am soooo ready for a break!
Off to scratch and bank - have a good day everyone xxSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

So, "ticking along nicely" sort of sums it up so far.....I'm comfortable with that!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hi M21,
I am doing a psychology degree, only just started but I am hoping it will be really interesting. Still working part time in my yukky yukky job.
Where is the Sphinx? Near Alice Springs? I presume you don't mean the one in Egypt?
Sorry sorry Hypno, STILL hijacking your thread.
In MSE news, I have a MS tomorrow, I have to buy a bottle of wine, which I get to keep AND get paid to do. My kind of MS - woo hoo.
Hope you all have a good day, mine is nearly finished! Just getting the children sorted to go back to school tomorrow.Mortgage = $277,000/$440,000 Started 29/06/10Sealed Pot 2012 = $910Sealed Pot 2013 = $790.80Sealed Pot 2014 = 543.500 -
Thank you for the good wishes. I feel a bit spaced out this morning, to be expected - but I do feel much better too. I know that all shall be well and understand this journey never ends, just takes a while to pack up that little corner of my heart again till next time.
Have a good day at work everyone! Thanks again for this thread. :A0 -
Well the thing is -it looks like it isn't a one off but will run for several weeks. I go on holiday in just over a month so I'm thinking do it til then. Anyway the incentive is tiered so even if I don't reach the top payout I will definitely earn some extra on top of the hourly rate so it's worth doing so the plan is add hours each day and keep the mystery shopping going in between as much to get me out of the house as anything else.
I've also challenged a DLA decision (they lost a form and refused to backdate to the date the original form was done on-line) which is a tidy sum so all in all there's a lot of "potential" in the next month.
So here goes nothing !! Wish me luckI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Hiphouse, I am glad you feel better - take it easy today (if you can!) x
duchy - any extra is good and in my opinion worth working for in the shorter term.....especially as you know that even if you don't get the top whack, it will have been worth doing. Potential payouts are good too - keep fighting!
llamahead - free wine - has to be good. My new student is French, so she brought me over a couple of very decent bottles when she arrived yesterday. I like her very much
I have spent £2.20 of my remaining money on an extra strong coffee......I really do feel like I need it!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Our hours are usually afternoons and evenings and I'd love it if they opened up daytime hours on a regular basis so here we go today's shift is going to be something like 8.30am to 11pm Ulp !!
(Actually not quite that long as I have some MS emails and phonecalls to do so will schedule an hour to do them over and above breaks)
I'm pop in with an update or two if I can still focus laterI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

**passes over coffee and jaffa cakes to duchy**
The language school have sent me an email about my missing cheque....seems it is lost in the post, so I have asked if I can go and collect a replacement at lunchtime. Hopefully that will be possible, then I can bank it and breathe a sigh of relief.
Mind you, with all the news about British Students and Swine Flu in China, it will be a minor miracle if she actually gets as far as Beijing......I quite expect that the whole thing will be cancelled nearer the time, which will be a real shame. Fingers crossed everyone stays fever free!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes.
