Good morning everyone! well, again, I ask the question, WHY does everything go wrong when OH is away. New washing machine 2 weeks ago and now the dishwasher has packed up. Well obviously, this is not a luxury, but a necessity, so I have had to go and buy one.
The GOOD news is that I had enough money in my current account to buy it, and survive till we get paid again. So keep going on your DF path, the end of the road is just fantastic and keeps me warm and smily at night!
Had to put in another enquiry to Quidco, thats 4 of the last 5 transactions I have had to query, is it just me or is everyone finding they have to query more?
Good luck with your £20's all, and fingers crossed for your student cheque arriving today Hypno.

Morning - hope you are all bright and breezy! I am anything but, but hopefully that will change during the course of the day. I sooo need a holiday, and thankfully it is now not too long before we get that, so the chance to recharge batteries and catch up with sleep etc....
anyway, off to bank, scratch, check ebay etc, and get on with the day.

Nothing unexpected going in or out of the bank today - Virgin have taken their money for my 0% card so I can stop worrying about that......
So, it all hinges today on student payments and the cost of the car.....positive vibes at the ready!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Morning - Hope the car gets on OK. I had that happen last year and had been letting DS drive it - well at least it was insured !
Nothing much happening this morning - DS still unwell in bed - he has to go to work tomorrow though. Nothing startling on banking etc.
have a good one everyone0 -
Good morning everyone
I managed to nip into a shop after my diet group to only buy some milk for DD, resisted the yellow stickered veggies as after all, my freezer is bursting to the gills with food for her, the cupboards are groaning under the weight of yellow stickered tins and packets of rice/pasta etc, so I really don't need to waste more money on slightly squashy veg!
Erm, I think that if the MOT has run out then insurance is invalidated...don't quote me, but that's what an ex boyf (owns a garage) told me, could just have been to make sure he got my business, but be careful....hmm, think I need to check when mine's due!0 -

Yes you are right - the insurance is invalid if the car has no MOT.
Well done on resisting the cheapie veggies!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Morning all,
£20 not doing so well - had bad day yesterday - biscuits and sweets, must look at total but cant see lasting past the weekend at this rate
Good luck on MOT. It was much better when they used to remind you. I know so many people who have driven round for months as it just doesnt cross their minds with lots of other things going on.
Hoping to get my debt busting head back on after the weekend - last S/E work for a few months - may be looking for some help on surveys/clicks/M/S - be warned :rotfl::rotfl:
Positive vibes for a good day - anybody else finding that all around people are very down and "depressed"?

Me x
Positive vibes gratefully accepted.
I think a lot of people are generally feeling lethargic etc - for lots of reasons.....it is summer, yet we are stuck in offices, unable to make the most of what little sunshine we get.....we are skint, so when others are taking advantage of the sales, or arranging summer trips out, we have an attack of the "I wants, but can't haves"........we have been working flat out for weeks or months on end with only the odd day off here or there, and really need a break so are tired.......
And of course there are lots of lurgies going about, not to mention hayfever which is really harsh this year, and swine flu - leading to all the doom and gloom in the news......we have no "feel good factor" about us at the moment.
Last year we had the Olympics, and we put in a stellar performance so the UK got right into the feel good factor of medal winning. This year, there are little "pockets" of shine, but nothing we can really get our teeth into.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes.
