Thanks guys - we had a lovely meal last night. Just at Cafe Rouge, but they never seem to let us down (that sounds like we have been there loads, but in reality it is only 3 times ever :rolleyes:) DS had a good day, and that is the main thing.

It is difficult to delegate stuff when OH is working 7 days a week. For example, both days this weekend he is on a late shift, that finishes just after midnight. If he weren't working today, he could take DS skiing, but as it is, it isn't an option.

Pickle - YES quidco is sooooo worth it! I have had over £2000 from quidco and topcashback since I joined MSE Always check on quidco before you do anything online - so if car insurance is due, go through quidco, travel insurance, buying stuff from M&S or Next online, go through quidco!

As well as things you are buyng anyway, which you can get cashback for, you can sign up to bingo sites and bookies through quidco and take advantage of cashback plus free bets etc - so you should (if you read everything properly) make a profit regardless of whether you win anything on the bingo!

Also they often do magazine subscriptions - eg sign up for a free trial of a mag, and get £5 or £10 cashback. Just remember to cancel the free trial before they start taking money out of your account. Same goes for DVD rental - lovefilm etc are all usually on quidco.

Great ones are "apply for an online savings account, and get £20 cashback" type things - Sometimes they impose a minimum opening balance of £500 but sometimes it is just £1! Fab return - £1 deposited, £20 cashback

Oh and scratchcards - go to virgin bingo (via quidco) and a st miniver site (there are loads, but chit chat bingo is currently on quidco)......

There is a whole thread on free scratchcards over on the "gambling intro loopholes" board which will have the full list of sites you can use.

Be warned, if you have more than one St miniver site, they may close you down - some people successfully have several accounts, some are closed down and can't play again.....whether you take that risk is a choice for you!

Hypno - take care - get checked at the doctors, cos as others have said it could be thyroid related - that makes you put on wieght even when you have been very good at controlled what you eat. i've had to take thyroxine for 12 years now. (all prescriptions are free as well!). I've had my share of family stuff over the last year as you know and if you're not careful you'll end up really poorly like I did.

Anyway, have a good day today, at least the sun is shining here.

I had a bit more of a look around on the Quidco website last night and it really does seem worth it, especially since several online retailers who I already use are on there. Imagine that: free money for using sites I already use regularly! I'll take a look at topcashback as well.

And as for the gambling sites, I'll take a look. I remember seeing about matched betting before as well. When you do that are you allowed to put both bets on with the same bookie? Hmmm....still a lot to learn. :rolleyes:

Re cafe rouge - you can use Tesco Clubcard vouchers there for deals - so £10 of clubcard vouchers will give you £40 off your meal.......now that has to be worth doing :cool:

Am back home, after a long, but successful day. DS won gold, so everyone happy. DD stayed at home to do the paper rounds etc. OH is at work.

DS is going to a gig at the local uni for his birthday "treat" so I am taxi driver this evening.......but hopefully will get chance to watch a bit of trashy tv for an hour or so in between.
