I've had it today - I have a head cold and it will not budge :mad: It's gone on for ages and I have tried to ignore it and get on with stuff, but it hasn't worked. Everyone needs a piece of me and there is no time to recover. It is another early start for skiing tomorrow, and then straight back into work again on Monday. There is "family stuff" going on that I became aware of this morning that I am very angry and upset about, but yet unable to do much to help, so feel hopeless about the whole situation (not at home, but affects my Nana, who is my dad's mum, so I feel I need to step into his shoes, so to speak, and can't do so in the way I want to).....all very draining.

My head hurts, my eyes are streaming, and I'm getting a bit fed up of having this "front" that I am so strong and able to do everything, because right now I feel as though I can't do a thing.

Rant over.....sorry.

In other news, the paperwork arrived for the new loan today - so much for express courier for £70, first class post got it here just as quickly - so we will sign that and send it back tomorrow.

1. Put kettle on and make coffee
2. Find choccy
3. Position yourself comfortably on sofa
4. Drink coffee
5. Eat choccy
6. Close eyes and sleep

I've got the coffee, but because I haven't found time to get to tesco, I don't have anything approaching choccy.

No time for sleep - we have to go out for dinner for DS birthday, and I need to make myself look more yummy-mummy than slummy-mummy

I am sitting on the sofa, though, while I drink said coffee.....that'll have to do for now.

Just feeling sorry for myself - it'll pass.

Really sorry to hear that you are unwell and the family stuff. I can understand that you need to make sure that your son has a good evening.

I really was struggling a couple of weeks ago and it was my body telling me to slow down - I haven't slowed down enough but I have found that just a little me time for me is so valuable.

Do what you need to do to get through today - even if that means going for a lie down for an hour. It'll do you the world of good.

Know exactly what you mean about having a front and everyone wanting a piece. The family stuff goes round and round in your head doesn't it.
Just be good to yourself. Can't do everything for everyone all at the same time.

Yes, an early night once I get home. And I have just promised OH (who is at work) that I won't turn on the laptop when I get home.

Right - off to try and find something presentable that fits me - despite my best efforts, I have put yet more weight on - I just can't seem to shift any of it, which doesn' help my general mood :rolleyes:
