  • Sorry you're unwell and under pressure with family. Delighted you're taking the time away from casino/bingo stuff it's been relentless by the sounds of it

I've no idea where I've read this, but when tired you can easily put on weight. When you're feeling fit and well the weight falls off. I remember now, I read this on MSN. If this has been going on for a while is it worth a visit to the GP for a check-up even if just to confirm you've got a thyroid not working at optimal level? I'm no medic, I just remember being in a similar situation and it was my thyroid that slowed down (I didn't need meds) and once I took care of myself I was OK.

Have a lovely evening and then get a good nights sleep. Get someone else to buy the chocolate you NEED. Finally, can anyone step in and help with getting the ski stuff done tomorrow?
  • Have a nice evening Hypno. Seems like you have just burned out a wee bit. Hope it all manages to resolve itself.x

I've had it today - I have a head cold and it will not budge  It's gone on for ages and I have tried to ignore it and get on with stuff, but it hasn't worked. Everyone needs a piece of me and there is no time to recover. It is another early start for skiing tomorrow, and then straight back into work again on Monday. There is "family stuff" going on that I became aware of this morning that I am very angry and upset about, but yet unable to do much to help, so feel hopeless about the whole situation (not at home, but affects my Nana, who is my dad's mum, so I feel I need to step into his shoes, so to speak, and can't do so in the way I want to).....all very draining.

My head hurts, my eyes are streaming, and I'm getting a bit fed up of having this "front" that I am so strong and able to do everything, because right now I feel as though I can't do a thing.

    Rant over.....sorry.

Don't apologise - it's what we're here for. Just remember to take care of yourself. You wouldn't drive your car around everywhere at 6000 revs/min, so why do you think you could be driven around in a similar manner without anything beginning to deteriorate?

In other news, the paperwork arrived for the new loan today - so much for express courier for £70, first class post got it here just as quickly - so we will sign that and send it back tomorrow.

Hope you are all having a good weekend.

That £70 was outrageous. I would want it personally delivered between the thighs of Vestal Virgins for that...

You work really really hard. This is why you so tired. A day or so off debtbusting, on top of normal life, won't hurt. Switch off, stop posting for a bit. People will still be there when you get back.

PS: think you amazing. such hard work. also have 14 YO DS.

  • ZTD I think the analogy with the car is perfect. Hypno - I hope you turn the laptop off every night over the next week. We KNOW you'll be fine because we'll all be thinking of you whilst you're resting. This thread isn't going to disappear in your absence and in the space of one week you're not going to amass an horrendous debt, so take the time off.

Of course, you'll be missed, but I think I'll be right in saying the priority now is YOU. So log off!

Hey Hypno. Hope you feel better after an early night. On the up side, at least you don't have to cook. Make sure you pick up a big bar of chocolate on the way home. x

When you are feeling up to it (or someone else, if you know, feel free to chip in here), I've just been looking at Quidco. Is it worth it? And where do you do the free online scratch cards and bingo etc.?

Sorry to ask now, but I'll forget if I don't. *Shakes head at own idiocy*

Thanks! And enjoy the rest of your weekend. xoxox
