Wow, great news about the new loan Hypno! I am so glad you are shot of that stupid 24.9% at long last. Your debt free date must feel really close now.

It certainly feels a whole lot less frustrating! And at least I know that my credit blacklisting is not fatal! I was beginning to wonder!

Debt freedom seems a long way off at times, and other times I feel as though I am almost there - that strange feeling between, "blimey, we've paid off almost £80k" and "£23k is a lot of money to owe".......

But whichever way I look at it - the picture is improving so I am very grateful for that!

Any penalties for paying the Halifax loan off early?

Nice to be given £100 sounds like you have a good boss who appreciates his staff's hard work that's unusual these days:T

Wow, £20! My OH does gardening for £12.50 an hour. East Grinstead is not so far away..... I'll tell him to get on his bike.

Excellent! She just employed a bloke for £10 p/hour, but he doesn't show up, and has always wanted the neighbour's guy anyway, who charges £20 but is booked solid - there's competition between the householders for good gardeners!
