You will fit it in macgirl - i started M/shopping when my two were very young (have been doing it for about 7 years now) and always managed to fit it around full time work/family etc - it is all about picking the right assignments for you, and there will be times when there are loads, and times when there are none! I do tend to go for ones I can do in my lunch-hour now......I don't do as much as I used to, but I get enough to appreciate the money it brings in!!

It was great - and I was really pleased that I managed to do half an hour's weeding - plus, it was because I was out there weeding that the neighbour stopped to chat. I'm going to do a bit of fairly easy work today, as I've got that paid work later on, and I have to be in a *reasonable* shape if people are coming in!

With Quidco, I'm miffed I spent so much that I could have earned free cash from:mad:. Now I'm not spending any money (well....) it's hard to see how I'll make any cash through it - will have to trawl for the freebies ;)

Mystery shop done - just need to load it. Went to Sainsburys for shopping because it was next door to the place I was M/S at......spent just short of £80 and got more than I needed, but again, the cupboards and freezer are full so plenty for the next couple of weeks.

September's task is to do the paperwork every day, keep on top of the washing and ironing (:o) and put a coat of paint on the utility room walls to clean that up (which also means clearing out the utility room cupboards and worktops, so no mean feat!

Garden month is almost done - and I am almost done in, as is OH - the patio is laid, having once been a pond.......we still have a patch of front garden to do, and the driveway, but we have achieved an awful lot, for very little money, so that is good enough for me. Boy do we ache though!!

  • Hopefully you will be able to enjoy a nice bottle of wine on your patio now. When i have done something in the garden i am proud of i like to stand at the bedroom window and admire the effect, memories for when i can't be bothered to sort out the garden as i knew it once looked ok!

OK paperwork catch up and keep up for me - I'll be v careful not to burn out shredder in first few days. I will also do a clean out of kitchen cupboards and some point tied in with a storecupboard shopping challenge. Thanks again for the inspiration and please kick me up bottom when I make excuses why I haven't done it!

Agree with Bob a lovely glass of wine then a soak in bath for the aches :T

I'm the same, bob, I keep standing and admiring it from the door.......and I keep saying to DS and DD - do you like the garden, then?!! To which their response is "you've already asked me that 100 times!"......they obviously have yet to master the art of humoring mum!

shelley, oh has already had to pull apart our shredder today! I hope it doesn't give up for good just yet!

My utility room is quite a challenge - it is a bit of a garage/shed extension rather than a kitchen extension :o I am sure that most of the bottles of "stuff" in the cupboard under the sink won't ever get used, so I will be ruthless and make it a more useable space. It is quite a big room, I have had kitchens that are smaller than my current utility, so it will be an achievement to have it house-like rather than garage-like

I have enough magnolia paint in the garage to clean up the walls, and the floor is new (from after the flood).....the cupboards are the ones from the old kitchen, so are a bit old, but are serviceable and with a bit of bleach will clean up nicely, as will the tiles and the grout.

Because we use the back door to the house, as do many guests because it is nearest the driveway, it is the first thing we see when we walk in - so to make it more welcoming will be very good for my wellbeing I think!
