Another Sunday morning - another ski race....thankfully at our home slope so not so far to go, and I can use the wifi while I am there :T

Hypno - glad its the home slope today .... can I ask you about your wifi? I'm finally converting my internet link to cable - it seems to be cheaper and more reliable than a phone line, as in the last six months or so, it often boots me off for a minute or so, and I've been told its the phone line. Do you have your wifi encrypted? I *think* I've heard thats the thing to do.....

Definitely encrypt your wi-fi if you have close neighbours KC, people often piggyback on other people's broadband.

Thanks Hypno, thanks Gemmzie - its unlimited download, so the piggybacking wouldn't matter so much, but I access a *lot* of money, in one way and another, over my internet signal - between my income, my matched betting accounts, my French apartment, all of that stuff is done online **heads of to the Techie forum**

when you 1st set up the wi fi it will ask you to set a code to use the wi fi(thats your encription it does the encription its self )
when you log on each time on the lappy it will ask you for that code
