It sounds *so* good, Hypno! As you say, its about doing the jobs that are no cost or low cost .... for me, tho, I might be temporarily abandoning the room by room plan, and go for a whole-house-and-garage spider proofing week!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Sounds reasonable to me, KC!
I have made a start - done 4 of the 16 conservatory windows. I'm doing inside first, as outside may involve a ladder and some more weed clearing........oh, and I have a patio door and an outside door to do as well - this may take me somewhat longer than the hour I had allocatedAh well, it will get done!

good monring Hypno and everyone else
I've had a lovely night's sleep. Still got lots do from the weekend list but will catch up on diaries while I am drinking coffee!
I like the rooms per month plan too. It seems really sensible. I have been trying the flylady plan and it the american version focuses on a room per week but then I guess you never get the big things done.
Better do the scratchies.
Have a great day - it's lovely and sunny here. Daren't open the window as I'll have an attack of the sneezes (hayfever)!

Good morning everyone,
Hope everybody is well and raring to go today!
It is a lovely sunny day in durham.
Anyway, I have to agree Hypno, the new format of the X-factor was not great. They are just copying of britains got talent.
However, now that the show is on stage in front of a live audience why cant we have a trap door for all the rubbish contestants to fall down. That would make it interesting.

Hi Hypno, catching the end of your diary about you dealing with a room a month. What a fantastic idea. Our home is fairly ok decorating wise,
and Ive been told is tidy, however to me as dd gets older the clutter of toys no longer played with, clothes never worn in the wardrobes, bits of decor like the glossy paint bits which could do with being brushed up. none of these things cost that much or any money, infact some of it could raise money at a boot salke or on ebay so I will be formulating a plan of my own to address some of the things I would like to get sorted.!
Mowing the garden today. Will take me a while, but by the end of the day the garden will look neat and tidy!
Good luck with your plan!
Take care Hypno! My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)
May 2013 £124,080.27= £37,903.50 paid off WOW!!!!! Well done! There is a guardian angel out there! :AI'm visualising success, debt freeness, and happy days!:T0 -
I have done all the inside windows and doors on the conservatory - it looks much better already! OH has started working on clearing the pond ready to be filled, and DS is buried in the cupboard under the stairs as he sorts stuff out.....
.....but it is soooo hot! I have just dived in the shower to cool down before I go to Tescos. When I get back, I will clean the outside of the conservatory and start the garage pipework and paintwork.......
None of the work today really needs any money spending on it - just lots of elbow grease and energySuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Like your plan Hypno. A room a month. Could do that. Seeing as I have two rooms half done - don't ask.DC.

That plan seems to be coming on great..Really wish I could do it but every room needs loads of work doing to it in my house except the two that have just been done....ie re-plastering..so cannot do anything that won't cost a lot.0

Sounds like a good plan for the Barclayloan Hypno.
Had a couple of lovely days but not very MSE - DH had a day off in return for an extra day he worked a few days ago - no overtime at all now:( - anyway we drove to Wales - spent the morning at a NT garden, making good use of our membership:) but ended up treating ourselves to dinner - it was delish though:). Drove onto Snowdonia, and through the LLanberris Pass - amazing scenery, had ice-creams and finished up at seaside before driving home.

Oh you were in my neck of the woods what was the weather like and where did you end up at the seaside?
