well, X factor was quite disappointing, but thank gawd I didn't spot meself!

Apparently there is no bomb, but bomb disposal. I'm going to reckon meth lab from the training videos they made us all watch at work, from which I learnt that bomb disposal is called out if they suspect meth lab. Of course I'm just rumour mongering, oooh, I love a good bit of goss!

Sounds like a good plan for the Barclayloan Hypno.

Had a couple of lovely days but not very MSE - DH had a day off in return for an extra day he worked a few days ago - no overtime at all now:( - anyway we drove to Wales - spent the morning at a NT garden, making good use of our membership:) but ended up treating ourselves to dinner - it was delish though:). Drove onto Snowdonia, and through the LLanberris Pass - amazing scenery, had ice-creams and finished up at seaside before driving home.

Had to pick all my tomatoes on Thurs cos wind/rain battered plants - got 14 1/2lb of green tomatoes and a couple of bananas on kitchen windowledge now lol - hope they ripen!!!! - so today bought some baby leeks and caulis and planted some spring cabbage seeds - all in tubs where my tomatoes were (mainly new compost - bit of old in bottom of each pot) - hopefully they will earn their keep and give me lovely veg in spring. Then I sat in sun and admired my handiwork:)

I want one of those houses with a bigger garden.

Fingers crossed for dd's job - what's it doing?

My OH gets time off in lieu instead too which hardly pays the bills, does it :rolleyes:

dd's job would be in a lovely tea shop.....it would be perfect for her, but of course she is not the only applicant to be interviewed, so we will just have to wait and see. I know that there was at least one older girl applying so they may well choose to go with the older girl instead.

One of my jobs tomorrow is to clear out old pots in the garden - I re-potted some things today, and my tomato plant (I only have one survivor!) has now got fruit on it, so that is good, but I have still got quite a lot of work to do over the next weekend or so to make sure that "garden month" has made enough of a difference. September's task will be the kitchen I think.......

Morning all!

It is cloudier and breezier today than it has been all week, so I hope it stays dry as I want to get some more done in the garden. We need to take a load down to the tip today too.

Double scratch day today but still only 10ps......it is all adding up though, so I'm not complaining.

I didn't manage to get to Tesco yesterday so will go today.....Nothing else to report....have a good day everyone!

I didn't like the new format of X Factor - the auditions were too long so we didn't get to see many compared with the old way of doing things - ah well, it was still good for doing the ironing to!

I would happily go to the football more often if I could afford it, but I only manage to go when I am lucky enough to use someone's season ticket at work. DS has a junior season ticket which he paid for out of his paper round money, so he goes to every match.

I've just signed up for a casino site on quidco, deposited my money, all ready to play through, but you can't do so until 9pm because it is "live"......bah! I must remember to give it a go later on this evening.....
