I am rolling around my office laughing away -

Stressed.mum - what wonderful taste your kids have. I wonder how they would feel about it when you give them their list of chores for the week!

Going to suggest it to OH for our first purchase together!

Urg - I think their idea is I would have to find them first to give them their jobs - also they could have 3 bedrooms each so only have to tidy one a month!!!!
Hoping to stick to the challenge this year!!

PS hope you're out having lovely time at races

Indeed I was - got home after midnight, so to late to post.....I just needed my bed!

I had a fab night last night - I went to the races on a work outing, so transport, entry, drink all paid for - we even got given a bit of money towards our betting :T The weather was perfect, and I managed to come away with a profit - a whole £15 more than I went with, so I am more than happy with that. I was only making small bets.....of course some of my colleagues were making much larger bets, but all of us came away on the night happy.

Boyzone were excellent - I had little expectation really, and they definitely surprised me with how good they were! I wouldn't necessarily have chosen to go and see them, but I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Verbatim - the student is just for 2 weeks. All these temporary ones are younger than our Norwegians. The youngest we have hosted this summer has been 13.

Time for banking, scratches, and coffee a plenty!

Hi Jamie, I too need to do a shop today - we worked on storecupboard stuff this week, but we are like old mother hubbard now! With my new student arriving tomorrow I need to do a big shop. However, because money is tight for August, I have taken £70 out of the bank and that has to be it. Not a penny more or I will have to do the embarrassing thing of asking to put something back when I get to the checkout!

So, in preparation, I am in the process of writing a meal plan and my shopping list.......

spent around €70 on food this week so far, week ends tomorrow,,,but don't need much,,,got a half price chicken yesterday,,,2.2kg for €3,,,,so 2 more days eating in that plus the soup..
so that should average out at €140 per wk for 4weeks,,,,.not to bad for here,,,next months target is €100 a week,,,,or £50,,,will be hard to do here ,,,,but nothing ventured:D

€100 is about £80 shaun, so that should be doable I reckon.....get meal planning!

Just done a dooyoo review - need another one later in the day and that should take me up to the next payout which I can hopefully request once everything validates next week.......

Meal plan and shopping list are done too, so I will head out to Tesco later this morning.

Glad you had a good day at the races, sounds fun and a profit into the day well done.
Must get sorted on the mealplan, dont know about you but Im finding it hard to mealplan when the children are home. Seems so easy when everyone is at school, work etc but when they are home it all goes to pot!:o
Right must get a list sorted, I may stray over to OS for some inspiration.

I've not found it any more difficult to meal plan when they are at home - presumably because I am still working, so it is still "business as usual".
