I received some money today from an old student that owed us.....I never expected to get it really although she didn't "avoid" paying it, it was just one of those things that never really materialised!

Anyway, as a result, £300 has gone off the egg loan, making the balance of that loan just £384.30......so with the next student payment of £195 and the 1st September "normal" payment to the loan, that one will be gone in a couple of weeks :T

    Almost there......!

Which will just leave the secured loan with Halifax (extension to the mortgage, basically), plus the barclayloan with the horrid APR, and the virgin 0%.

But you have to remember, taxi, that I have not yet started on my house improvements etc.....if I were to do that, then the repayments would slow down significantly!

I've just looked at the snowball - when things were at their worst, we were paying over £1800 a month just in interest!!!!!

Next month, we will be paying £74 in interest........what a difference a couple of years and some serious MSE motivation makes :T

    Hi Hypno and crowd!

It's been a busy week so haven't had time to post.

    £300 extra - that's great!

Just thought I'd report in on my £20 - I've only got £2.21 left! I'll be spending some on Chips tonight before my voluntary shift so I'll be drawing out a new £20 note soon. I wonder how long that will last!:o

I've had some good news - I have a new lodger joining me soon so that will bring my debt free date to March although I am going to aim to have it cleared by February. Woo hoo!

Brilliant news on egg almost being waved goodbye to Hypno :j:j:j and urg - fantastic news on a new lodger and your debt free date creeping closer!

Courtesy of the Flumps I have not yet touched my crisp £20  but I think that is exceptional circumstances! Mind you when the furry little Dragon arrives I won't be out at the pub for about a month so the money I would have spent there will go onto clearing the evil CC!
