    Hi all, ooh Hypno you are so close to being in the £24,000's you must almost be able to taste it! Glad you had a lovely holiday, we used to go to Centre Parks when the children were younger (and lived over that side of the world!), we always had a fab time, didn't have to think of things to do every day because it was always there for you.

    OH and I are thinking of buying a house - gulp!
    Mortgage = $277,000/$440,000 Started 29/06/10
    Sealed Pot 2012 = $910
    Sealed Pot 2013 = $790.80
    Sealed Pot 2014 = 543.50

    I know what you mean - we get "comfortable" with the bits we never got round to finishing, or whatever, and then we get comfortable with a bit of clutter that we never got round to putting away, and before you know it we have somewhere that we don't feel "comfortable" with any more but it is suddenly a big job to get it sorted.

    Once you get to the point of noticing the odds and ends though, it really annoys doesn't it!!

    Thats exactly it! And doing more socially - even being at my sister's more, or seeing Wol - has really impressed on me that my place needs a *lot* of TLC. Very glad I'm not miles out with my laziness tho :D

    Wot no aussie property !!!!!!?

    I have a big list of stuff needing done to my flat too (maybe it would sell quicker if I called it an apartment?) but find the deadline thing is just setting myself up to fail - that said I want it ALL done by end of Feb... I'm just plodding on through a few things each week instead and decluttering like mad. Might resort to the five things a day ploy again for the rest of August!

    Numbers are coming down nicely Hypno, have you started thinking "this time next year..." yet?

    Thats true ... we can't be rigid about these things - when so much of the house needs doing, for instance, and I have one little scraper out, it makes sense to do all the scraping and really get into it, rather than *stop* because its the wrong room for the month. I use the flow of what I'm enthusiastic about, as well as having an overall plan :rotfl::D

    Oh I *so* think about this time next year. Paul McKenna calls it "establishing a future memory", something like that. Its good!
