Ooh, the barn conversion - maybe it is "meant to be".

Very few houses come up on caistor lane - so often they do not actually get as far as the agents, so you would be right to "postcard"......a couple of semis came up further down the lane (away from the village) - one went immediately, one went after a littlewhile, but only semis at the end of the day.

It is one reason my heart sank when I saw holly cottage up for sale - this year I can't do it.....but it probably won't be up for sale for many years once it sells this time.

I got the details for the semi up most recently but didn't even do a drive by as semi was never gonna be the one!

Sorry its not come up at the right time for you but I'm a firm believer in fate and sure an even better one will be there at the right time for you.

:idea: Maybe would could start a rumour about something that will devalue the road like new wind plant or electricity substation then snap up the bargains :rotfl:

I too am a great believer in fate - which means that if you started a rumour about a substation, the prices would indeed fall, I would buy my dream house, and then 12 months later, when I am sitting outside with a smug look on my face as I sip my G&T.......the contractors would move in on the field behind me and EDF would erect the biggest load of pylons ever seen :rolleyes:

What do you mean "flasks or G&T"......If I am expected to lie in front of bulldozers, I want "flasks of G&T". :rotfl:

But yes, you are thinking of the right guy - swampy. I want to reserve the right not to have to camp out all the time though - I still want to come in for hot baths and internet access

Oh, and if they choose to bulldoze in winter or when it is raining - I will have to concede......I don't do protests unless it is nice weather :cool:
