Just got back from a couple of nights in York for our 31st wedding anniversary. Spent a fair bit - but could have been a lot worse - didn't touch my cc so I was pleased. We found a little (dated but clean) b&b with BIG brekki, had nice meal night of anniversary with carparking so could walk into York - BUT made consious decisions about what money was spent on rather than just parting with cc and paying for it later
- feel as if I'm finally learning

Just need to tighten up and re-coup a bit of the cash now - but it was worth it!!
Went detour to Whitby on way home, not been there for about 20 years. Had a boat trip for £2 - granted only 25 minutes but I was well chuffed cos we saw porpoises.
