Fishcake_Random wrote: »Hey all,
First massive thanks for the tutorial. I`m thinking of including some printed notepaper from one of the earlier links and making a little writting set for a few aunts etc.
I made the biscuit pops..........kind of a disaster. Things I`ve learnt for next time is reduce the amount of melted chocolate by a third. And not to use peanut butter to stick them together. It`s also hard to covered them intirely without them falling off the sticks. OH says they taste fantastic though.
I`ll post a few pics later this afternoon for all to laugh at.

Can't wait to see the pics (promise i won't laugh):D:D:D:D

Thanks Mary, my energy levels seem to be back up so making good use of them as not sure how long it will last. near enough been through the whole house now, just got the kitchen left to do, have crossed loads of jobs of my list, just put together my new radiator cover that arrived this afternoon and have started painting that. I'm really on a roll today.
I thought they were quite cute made outof newspaper, I normally just bung my paper in the recycle, apart for the few i stash away for crafts LOL

A really nice way to say thankyou...
Filled with goodies and trinkets, these decorated cylinders are a sweet alternative to standard thank-you notes.
First, they decorate the outside of each tube, leaving room for an address label. Then, from a roll of paper, Jennie cuts a large sheet on which she prints "Thank you" or "I love you" in big letters. She then gives it to the kids to color. When they're done, they roll up the banner and slip it into the tube along with small treats, trinkets, and a sprinkling of confetti.
You can address and mail each tube, or arrange a special delivery: wrap it in festive paper, tie on a bow, and present it in person. Holiday season isn't the only time the Morehead kids mail out their festive missives. Nor are they always called Thank-you Tubes. When fishing competitions take Dan on extended stays out of town, for instance, he knows he might be the lucky recipient of an I-Miss-You Tube.

LucyLu,
Glad you found a bargain!
Some of my family have given magazine subscriptions as birthday presents over the past year and they have been a huge hit!

I didn't have internet in my old place and was stealing it from a local business who kept theirs unencrypted *blushes*
It's been a successful day here - we got a lot of decluttering done and it all looks much better. Except the bits we've not put back together yet... but I'm annoyed because elsewhere where I post there is someone who is constantly being passive-aggressive and b!tchy, and I hate it!Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
