    mum2one - hope your wrist is ok...........(((hugs))

Painter/gardner chap came this morning to finish off bits of painting and cutting back...........our green wheelie bin and neighbours are now full ! Might have to take some thickish bits off tree branches to the tip (not sure how as its miles away:confused:)

Finished off my teabag/horlicks holders, labelled 'bah humbug' jar and pot of gold (just doing one this year) Used jar from neighbour with gold lid...........still need two more bags of choccy coins for it.
Was going to sort through all my stash upstairs but couldn't face it but think all I've left to do are
    2 flannel reindeers
friends bed socks somehow put into cup cake case
    Order calendars from amazon
Have a go at snowmen decorations with wood blocks

That'll be it as far as christmas goes I think-don't think poor old brain will cope with much more...........lol:rotfl:
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

  • Forgot to add i know some of us dont read all of the MSE board or sometimes miss threads but at the mo the Mirror is giving away a free token to exchange daily at a Martins Newsagents for a book by the popular childrens author Jacquline Wilson (we have her to thank for Tracey Beaker!). There is 7 to collect each day a different book.

I got mine today and the first one is the Tracey Beaker book. Its a good offer as i was going to buy a similar set by the same author for £9.99 off the book people!

You can save the tokens and post off with £4.95 for the postage if you cant get to or havent got the newsagents near you.

I thought its a brillaint idea for a cheap Christmas present for girls (dd, nieces, sisters, friends etc)...

    List of books on offer:

Starring Tracy Beaker, followed by The Dinosaur's Packed Lunch, The Monster Story-Teller, Cliffhanger, Buried Alive!, The Suitcase Kid and Glubbslyme.

well the plan today is to talk dad into taking me to lakeland to buy christmas gift bags
    http://www.lakeland.co.uk/christmas-gift-bags/F/C/christmas/product/1484

and sainsburys for a stiggy bank
    http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/groceries/index.jsp?bmUID=1255175807031

then back home to try and sort the loft out and do a bit crafting.

Can anyone tell me where is the best place to buy magnets for the pegs etc everyone has been making?

I think Wilkinsons sell magnets, as do Homebase. Not sure if that's where everyone here has been getting them from though.

Morrison's have good deals on at the moment for Christmas sweets 'better than half price' and BOGOFs, so I've picked those up along with the shopping today - one more bit of organising done, in a thrifty way! I'm pleased that I've made good purchases throughout the year; the trick now will be to stay disciplined and stick with the presents I've already got people, rather than adding to it, and undoing all that hard work. So far, I've managed by sailing past it all feeling smug, because I don't need to worry about any of it - it's all in hand :-)
Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!
