Just when I thought I'd never get there I think I'm well on the way
This morning I did two 'cobweb chasers' (gardening gloves stuffed and on a broom handle) 4 cupasoup holders & couple of gift bags.
Just need to do bookmarks, robins breakfast pots and fill up jars with appropriate sweets (have filled bah humbug jars with mint humbugs this morning as well):j

Wind was dreadful last night and now a piece of trellis with wisteria hanging on for dear life is draped across our wheelie bins:eek: OH can't fix it but decorator chap is coming tomorrow so hopefully he will.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

    Creamy Microwave Pralines (Texas Stye)

    ingredients.gif
    1 cup whip cream
    1 box dark brown sugar
    2 Tablespoons margarine or butter
2 cups pecan pieces (not broken too small)

    directions.gif
Stir together whip cream and dark brown sugar in very large microwave safe mixing bowl. Zap in microwave on high for 13 minutes. Open microwave about half way through cooking time and give the mixture a stir or two to make sure it is mixed well. When time is up, take bowl out of microwave , add butter and stir until butter is melted. Add nuts, stir for a couple of minutes or so until mixture starts to thicken slightly. Quickly drop by spoonfuls on a sheet of foil. Allow pralines to cool and then put them in a covered container. If mixture is removed from bowl too quickly (too hot and shiny), the pralines will be too thin and may remain sticky. If the first one spreads out to much just put it back in the bowl and stir mixture for a minute or so more. If mixture gets to cool (dull in appearance) before it is spooned out on foil, it may become too firm to make individual pralines, but it can always be broken into chunks and eaten. Less attractive, but still good. Make a couple of batches and you will be able to tell when the mixture is right for spooning. Chocolate lovers can add 1/2 cup of chocolate chips to hot mixture along with the butter. The chips will melt completely producing "chocolate pralines".

Parents, use our free Good Deeds calendars to encourage a spirit of good behavior throughout the year, not just before Christmas!
Decorated with delightful northpole.com drawings, these calendars are a gentle reminder of Christmas all year long—and a great way to give children a sense of accomplishment.
Children can let Santa know they are doing their very best throughout the year by using this list of good deeds. Post the Good Deeds Calendar on the refrigerator or in your child's bedroom. Each day, they can put a check mark in the boxes to show their achievements.
On Christmas Eve, children can leave all their Good Deeds Calendars under the tree for Santa to see!
A great idea for little ones, easy to use and print out...

Thanks, but we ended up ordering it for them, and we haven't got one. They're paying us back though! lol

Btw, when we did it we ended up with the Wii, Wii Sports, Wii Sports resort and then there was some sort of deal where not only did you get another game for £5 but another for free too?!?! HUbby was doing the order, so he knows the details. And funnily enough we saw HMV doing a similar offer (but with not much choice) in town yesterday!! Nows the time to get a Wii people!!

Well I've just been told off by the boyfriend.

He left me do the tescos shopping whilst he went for an interview, came back and I had an empty trolley after his hour long interview. I got distracted by the DVD section, then the book section, then the electrical section but i think the Christmas section did me in - have now planned the sweetie treats for Xmas though! Doh!

Have planned what to get boyfriend though - I budgeted £200 for him. I've got 4 extra shifts this week which will bring me in £117 of that though so not too bad and I want to get him a professional camera lens that's £146.99 in Argos but he will get lots of use from it - so hoping these extra shifts this month pretty much cover that. Then he wants a sit up bench which is £30 in Argos so that's him pretty much done bar a few little knick knacky bits for him to open.

Ben still wants his camera though but I saw the bike in B& M for £70 that I want to get for him to so will be trying to get a few extra shifts to get that for him as well.
    Time to find me again
