Morning Everyone - Havent really done much lately for Xmas as most of its done so feeling a bit left out lol. Still have to make the quilt for youngest daughters room but cant start that until I start my course on the 30th. Will then have a few other bits to do as well as I am going to use the left over bits to make a memo board and either a cushion or bag to match out of the left over bits.

If we won the lottery (which is highly unlikely as we only buy tickets on birthdays) I wouldnt change my buying habits. Would still go in charity shops etc. Think my OH would be the one who wants to spend spend spend.

Morning all............bit stuck today for doing anything due to one builder doing the front window, one doing the back and I'm sort of stuck in the middle.
Did attempt one little post it note key ring on my over-cluttered desk.........got it done then knocked my cup of coffee everywhere.........just missed computer  All up my sleeve, carpet............words said were unrepeatable.............
Still -post it note key ring got done............well nearly.............now I've run out of key rings............lol
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hi All, Will be back with you properly by the end of next week, during which time I will compile a list of what I need to get etc.

Just wanted to say that if anyone is stuck for a teen/20-30 something present (your daughter in laws?) then they may appreciate a Benefit "Justine Case" which has a mini lipgloss, mini blush/lip-tint, mini eye thing, mini concelar. I've been looking for one for ages and lusting after them but at £22.50 I couldn't justify it for a little quirky makeup set. Saw them on offer somewhere for £13.50 but didn't want to pay the postage (how tight am I!) then struck lucky on eBay and got one for £7.99 with free p&p. They are well worth the £8 and it will look like you have spent nearly 3 times the amount. They are really handy and mine will be staying in my bag at all times :)

If you want me to find the sellers name I can just PM me :) (it isn't me I'm just passing on a bargain :))

    Morning all,

I was thinking about our organising plans.

Week 2 Houseworks - CALENDER AND CREATIVITY WEEK - sorting out our craft supplies, de-cluttering our creative spaces we like to work for the housework side of things.

Lots of occasions prep which include, Calenders, files, holiday travel plans, lists.

I'm still on week 1, filing as I had loads to do..

    So how about you?.

Anglea - as fast as I sort out my spare room where all my craft stuff is the more the rest of the household leave even more junk so it looks like I havent done anything. I need to get some beds in there at some time and make the room look like a proper room not just a junk room but we have furniture stored in there from OH's family which was supposed to be here for a couple of months and it is now a couple of years! Will be glad when they finally come and get it (or say we can keep it for ourselves lol).

More important for me though is trying to get my daughters bedroom done before Xmas. One of her walls was so damp from a leaky gutter that the paper fell off and the plaster underneath is crumbling so the longer I leave it the worse the room looks but cant start on it really untill I am sure I have everything for my quilt course then I will concentrate on getting her room done.

The rest of the house is pretty good as we touched up all the paintwork etc before we had OH's party last month and our bedroom will wait till after xmas.

New windows all done (now I can see out of them............lol)
Next on the list is new front door then hopefully a downstairs loo putting in........... There's room in the 'indoor shed' (room that leads off the kitchen currently housing gas boiler, freezer, paint pots etc.) but its a big job:eek: Would rather be away for a week while it was done.............:rotfl:

Managed to get my little post it note key rings finished off -bit fiddly putting the ribbon on but I've done it now..........just need some decent key rings to put them on.

  • Hi mum2one

I haven't emailed customer services yet as I thought i'd give it till perhaps Tuesday in case another parcel arrives. Strangely I ordered the vodka shots too and they're missing from my order too

To update, i've had a reply from Halfcost. I am not a happy bunny:

    Dear Mrs xxxxxx

Thank you for your recent e-mail. Due to the item being originally advertised with alcohol included, we found that the vast majority of our customers were not happy to only receive the glass and accordingly most wanted the items to be cancelled. Managment made the decision to remove the item from sale and agreed to cancel and refund the affected orders wherever possible.
Sorry for any disappointment caused by this.
    Regards
    Darryl Patrick

There is no mention of WHEN i will receive the refund or when i will get the fishing and football glasses or if i will be refunded for those too???

I can guarantee guys that your homes are in much better state than mine.We do not have a
fence, a gate, garden drains, a kitchen, no plaster on the walls downstairs, nowhere painted upstairs, no bathroom, one tap, not one scrap of carpet or floor anywhere, no furniture and the kitchen is currently home to every power tool ever known to mankind!! :D Luckily we're not living in it yet!! It is having an extreme makeover! It has got new windows, doors, upstairs plaster, new heating, new gutters. So a fair old way to go really! Everyone can now feel much better!!! :D We hope to be in before Christmas  (but I never said which year! :rotfl:)
