There is one in Aberdeen but that's an 80 mile round trip so not planning going until end of October because there is new shopping centre opening then.

Anywhoo, I've ordered all the stuff I need for the Peppa Pig Hamper, so just need to find a box, wrap it, and fill it with pink shredded paper:
    • Peppa Pig Space Hopper £4.99 (the works)
    • Peppa Pig Boom Bats and Ball £1.99 (the works)
    • Peppa Pig Colouring Set £1.99 (the works)
    • Peppa Pig Rocket Bubbbles £2.99 (the works)
    • Peppa Pig DVD - Cold Winter's Day & Peppa Christmas £5.98 (amazon)
TOTAL = £17.94, but it's gonna look really impressive hamper'd up. Really pleased with that purchases.

Nearly finished my other neices hamper, she is going to see Hannah Montana Live on 27th Dec, so I'm putting together a Concert Hamper for her so far I've got:
    • Hannah Montana CD to listen to on the way down £3
    • Hannah Montana T-Shirt to wear £4.00
    • Hannah Montana Photo Album £2.99
    • Disposable Camera £1.50
    • Still need to get a Tote Bag seen them for £5 on ebay
    • Filled with a bottle of water, mints, jelly babies or something for the way down.
    • Also going to put a lip balm, and perhaps Hannah Montana Perfume, if I can get it cheap enough.
What do you think of this hamper, do you think it will be okay for a girl of 8, I always worry cause I have 3 boys.
  • that hamper sounds brilliant!

Kalojac - those hampers sound fab!

Im the same with my two nieces - I have two boys so gifts fro girls are a taboo thing! Ive got a princess hamper each for them - they are practically identical bar the pyjama sizes but then I figure they cant fight over them. Except one will have a book and the older one some jigsaw puzzles!

Mum2one, sugarspun, pipsmum, paddingtondoo- Thank you all for your very quick and great ideas. Think I am going to go with the star and see if I can get a childrens book with a star themed story. Thanks so much for all the ideas :-)

I agree sammy_kaye, my nieces are getting the same girly bits so they don't fight.

We always spoil them and our nephews as we don't have children yet, they get a main 'big' present and little bits.

For their little bits I so far have the following x2 for the girls, aged 6 and 8....

Disney Princess colouring in pencils (Poundland)
    Pink hair accessories set (Poundland)
    Pink plastic beaker/glass (pound shop)
    Disney Princess calculator (Poundland)
    Nail varnish (charity shop)

I will buy more, wrap each present individually and will put them in a pink backpack which I will also wrap. I got the backpacks for £4.94 reduced from £10 in the Smiths sale. I thought the backpacks were a good idea rather than a hamper as they can reuse it and take it as their toy bag each when they go to their nan's. I have bought the backbacks in black as well and will do the same thing for our nephews.

This is the backpack - http://www.whsmith.co.uk/CatalogAndSearch/ProductDetails-Head+Backpack-33201399.html#

I am also making all four of them a craft box with crafty goodies in.

I spoke to soon saying I was better, I got worse again Thursday night and was sent home from work yesterday. Fingers crossed I am okay today, if I get worse again been told I have to go to hospital. I'll keep you all posted.

Anyone know who it was who did a space theme hamper?

My mother in law has jsut informed me that my nephew is mad on space etc and i mentioned it and thought that would be a good theme for this christmas present

I like to spend a little more on him as he tends to be forgotten about by his parents to a degree but he is definitely a theme person so am looking fro ideas.

Like his birthday in July was TOP GEAR = so I got him some Stig bedding and a stretchy stig toy (both of Amazon) and he loved them - my mother in law (his grandma who he lives with) said she can literally get it off his bed to wash and it has to be dried and back on that night.

Last Xmas it was drawing and pokemon - so I got him a how to draw pokemon book and a drawing set

Xmas before that was magic and a local magic shop makes up magic boxes which are wooden, painted red and they put his name and a magic dove on the box and i filled it with a few bits and pieces he could use.

all of which he treasures and they are next to his bed.

So this year it will be space so needing ideas - already thinking the moon in a room and he has a telescope already. Might name a star for him too.

Should add that he is 12 and He has aspergers/ adhd and autism so when one thign gets stuck in his head its best to roll with it as he tends to stay stuck on that one subject or specific thing.
