Had every intention of having another session with notebook, fabric and pva glue this morning but phone didn't stop ringing, then one call was from a friend I haven't heard from in ages -2 hours..............lovely long chat. So, needles to say I'm all behind myself and only just got sausages out the freezer for dinner tonight !
Notebook will have to wait another day..............:rotfl:
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

This receipe website was on Dragons' Den last night, Debra Meaden invested in it. I've had a nose around and it's fab, may come in handy for anyone doing food hampers or planning meals over Christmas, or any other time! There's a whole section on cakes, biscuits and a budget section. http://www.mydish.co.uk/index.html

I've picked up some good charity shop finds for pressies:

    A book called a girl's guide to wine - 60p!
The Loose Womens' girls night in book (stories and anacedotes from the presenters of the tv show) for £2.99
and a HUGE hamper basket for £2!

For myself - two Christmas books of ideas, receipes, craft, etc, both came to a grand total of £1!

On another note, I hope you don't mind me mentioning this, I am doing a zip wire for charity in Scotland in a few weeks time to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity close to my heart for personal reasons. It is the longest zip wire in the UK and it's over Loch Lomond! If you would like to sponsor me, send me a PM and I will send you the link to my just giving page. I hope you don't mind me mentioning it, I thought it would be okay as I am amoungst friends. I won't be offended if you would rather not sponsor me, don't worry.

    Love to you all,

    Lucy x

Sarah, I meant to ask, did you get over your flu? I hope you are much better, as well as everyone else that has been under the weather.

Mary, I think it was you mentioning sausages. I went to Somerfield today and bought some that were ridiculously heavy to carry. £4.50 a pack, they were a very large size and lots of them, thought I'd freeze them. I hope they have ones like this nearer Christmas, never noticed them before.

I was thinking of you again re the gravy tubs. You know I mentioned I put herbal teas inside to get rid of the smell, I can't believe I can still smell the gravy. Will try putting more teabags inside instead of just one.

Lucy, what a dare devil! You must have a good head for heights . Good luck in advance.

hi guys another quicky from me....
    http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/459290/babyliss-pro-230-staightners-4-25-s/

this deal on HUKD is babyliss straightners for less than £5. If any of your kids/mums/brothers?/sisters want GHDs and can't afford them, these are just as good if not better (and that comes from a die hard GHD fan. I bought these on Amazon a few weeks ago for £25 after 2 pairs of GHD broke, I decided I would risk it for £25 and try them out, they are brilliant, reviews on amazon are just as good!) they would be brilliant for a pamper hamper or an xmas present. I REALLY hope I can find me another pair and a pair for MIL as a little mid-year gift! keep your eyes peeled for a bargain! :)

:ABeing Thrifty Gifty again this year:A
