Forgot to say, something made me really mad. I was paying for something and the woman said "would you be interested in having a loyalty card where you'll be given points each time you shop and a £5 gift voucher?" I said, "Is it a credit card?" and she replied yes. I couldn't believe it, I was fuming and I so nearly went into one. I know they try to get you to sign up to store credit cards but she was pitching it like a Boots loyalty card and didn't say it was a credit card, I thought it was so dishonest and misleading, I was not happy.
Sorry, rant over!
Every time I go into Evans they try to sell me one, in exactly the same way. They tell you that you get points every time you buy something and a voucher on your birthday. They are trying to make it look like a loyalty card rather than a credit card.
Another one that annoys me is McKays, who always try to sell you a store card. They will tell you that you can use it and pay it straight off that day in store... now am I being silly or is there absoloutely no point at all in doing that? Either you want it on credit or you don't! I know they have offers etc, but it is a sneaky way of getting people to take out more credit products.0 -

Havent bought anything Xmassy lately but did get a couple of "blue" bargains for eldest daughters birthday hamper, a gift box with blue bath bombs for £1.50 from charity shop and a nice blue candle for £1.99 from the Range.0 -

Ooh can I join in please (I do love making Christmas lists!)
Still need to buy:
DS Lite for eldest son (will be buying this next month with a £10 off voucher I have for Argos)
Noticed your post, I was nosin around on ebay last night and came across the ebay "argos clearance store", and there are a couple DS's on there, I've put the links in below, maybe you could use that (I wish I had for my son's birthday in June his Black DS was £100!). If it is any use you can keep your argos voucher for another gift to score off your list. Kalojac x

Just went back to look at these, and 1 of them is refurbished (think the middle link), however they all seem to have a 12 month guarantee.
For everyone else not looking for a DS there seems to be a few things on the toys and other sections, think I may get a few things scored off my list cheaper this way, although the toys ALL have a set postage of £3.99 so the postage costs is a bit high.0 -
