As long as the car will be registered to your daughter that should be fine.Would still be inclined to ring insurance company though:beer: Am thinking of a new one:beer:0

If you are insuring the car ask for a copy of the certificate to be posted to your address so the dealer can tax the car. After all you are the customer.
I would also add yourself to the policy and remove when you have no need to drive it. Saves you excess being the full purchase price if the worst should happen.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I like the idea of the copy of the ins cert being posted here....but not all companies move quick on that...it would be nice if a phone call helped it along though....I'm now a retired teacher... hooray ...:j
Those who can do, those who can't, come to me for lessons:cool:0 -

Is there no way that the insurance can be done and then copy of certificate faxed?
I've insured over the phone etc. and been insured pretty much straight away - within an hour or so. I've then had them fax the certificate over - I've never had a problem when buying a new car or secondhand - just get it switched over. You let the insurance company know when you are picking it up etc. And that would be before I had actually purchased it.
We need Harveybobbles on this thread to sort it out!Genie
