    Hi Tag

DS is working with The Centre for School Improvement on work experience. He is on a teacher's course today in Castleton. My sister is also a teacher. She is on a teacher's course today in Castleton :rotfl:

    Time to mop some floors...

I LOVE online banking. I can set up payments and change them no problem and order cheque books (which I use to send money into school mainly). I can set up advance payments. For instance I have my credit card set up to take the minimum payment every month (so I don't forget and in case of a blip). Then, as I pay it off in full, I can set up the exact amount in advance to come out on the relevant day and pay off. If I am busy on the day I need to actually pay it I don't need to worry. Ideally I set up the payment as soon as the bill is received. Today I set up the payment for later this month...HTH Tooch

Am just going to do my HHI...stuff that was washed and dried testerday but wanted to ask a quick question, does any body do their banking online, and how safe is it...AnW'smum, do you have any advice....or anyone that uses online banking.....Thanks.....ironing, here I come xx

we've been banking online for a few years now, with no problems. Even if there was a problem you'd be able to pick up on it much quicker as you can check your accounts more regularly than waiting for a monthly/quarterly statement

I use online banking. Im with A bbey and its always been perfectly safe - Ive never had any problems.

I think no matter who you are with, they offer an online service. But I dont know how the others work. With my bank, you either have to call the call centre and register for online banking, or do it in branch or at the ATM with your card.

They then send you out 2 secure Pin nos (in the same way they would send you a new pin number with your card). You use these to log on for the first time, and then you can change them to something more memorable.

What she said ^^^^^^ I'm with the abbey..........never go into a bank anymore.........makes it much easier because you can check it everyday.[/QUOTE]

Thanks guys, this is the reason I am thinking of doing it as I don't keep enough of a track on what money is coming out of my account and end up skint by the end of the week....statements are fine but I want a more day to day account rather than month by month, again, Thanks.

Ironing all done, apart from whats on the line and some of the bedding in the TD xx

Thanks phizzimum as well, will look into it after work....I was sent a code a while ago, so will find that and see if thats what I nees......going to walk to work now as I pass a post box to post tax credit form and then there is only one thing left on my list of 5, catch you later xx

Thursday ~ Master Bedroom & Landing
All done - star please :D:D
    My weekly list:
1 thing remaining (will be done after lunch)
[STRIKE] 1. book ferry for holidays
    2. make list of what to take for me, DH and DS.
    3. make list of things to bring back incl. where to get them/places to go e.g. museum etc
    4. decide what to buy for niece birthday (will also be done when away as shops there better than here!).[/STRIKE]

    5. check friends mail twice this week, Done- tue
    My Dailies and Wednesdays:
1 thing remaining (will be done so ready for dinner)
    5. make quiche
MACAW: Done- mon, tue, wed, thu (will be done after lunch)
    * Do physio/exercises at least once a day

All done :) for todays list. For the 'sorting out a box option' I chose to sort out the blankets and boxes under the bed, so hope that is a suitable alternative (it took me 1/2 hour to sort them through and de-fluff!) ;).
In my three HHC's I also tackled DS's room (clean sheets, dusted, wiped, hoovered, tidied- with DS's help) and spare/storage room (hoovered, tidied, opened cases for airing, de-fluffed/de-webbed), so am quite happy with that. The exercise seems to be helping my back too :D.
Just about to hang out the washed bed sheets, then shower and lunch.
After lunch will go a walk with DS and check friends mail, then will make quiche and apple crumble for tea.
Hope everyone is well, and it is nice to be back here!

PS RE online banking, I do it with more than one bank and I find it really helps keep on top of things. I also used to have an excel spreadsheet which I updated, but now I prefer to use a book as I can take it anywhere (eg hols) with me, whereas laptop stays at home on hols iywsim. I have worked with a book and/or excel spreadsheets since about 1996 and def. recommend it. hth.

SGT how did you get on yesterday - did all your stuff arrive and have you managed to 'hide' it from OH!!!
    toots xx
All 89 items arrived, (this was good as removal company had repacked some of my items, there were 118 when they left me. lol) it took them 1 1/2 hours to off load their transit van. I didn't realise how much stuff you can get in a transit!!! Not saying I brought a lot of clothes but there were 12 suitcases  I think the only things I managed to hide were 'some' of my clothes, the christmas tree & a hoover :rotfl:Most of the stuff got put in the area we use as an office, unfortunately it was full, not even a path to OH desk & he had a conference call at 9pm, so he was not a happy chappy, he did manage to clear a path whilst I was doing tea. I took some photos, so when I can, I will try & post some :D
Today I have managed WM x 2, I just don't seem to have any energy, I've already had my siesta at 9 a.m. :o (I was up at 6.30). I really must move some of this stuff befor OH comes home!!

I'm another online banker! I've found it invaluable and when a company set up three direct debits by mistake it meant I spotted it straightaway!

I've used my pedometer today. Actually, I used two to see how accurate they are. One reads 5138 and the other 14617, I've walked the dogs and then to the shops without stopping for two hours twenty minutes this morning....for those with pedometers, which do you think is the most accurate?

Thursday list finished. Lots more to do before sports day this afternoon.

    5 a week list

    1) Go through my wardrobe, DD's and DSs wardrobe and remove EVERYTHING that doesn't fit!
    2) Clear, sort and clean clinic
    3) Declutter dining room.[STRIKE]
    4) Visit library to take book back and local shop to get battery for pedometer (you've all made me want to use it again).
[/STRIKE]5) (and this is the one i'll regret) Gut master bedroom - chuck, chuck and more chuck!

    Mmmm....like I said...lots to do xx

I use online banking so when some dear soul defrauded us of £1800 last year I noticed it immediately and was able to stop my card. It all got sorted out in a couple of weeks. If I relied on monthly statements I could have ended up really overdrawn.

Most of the washing is dry now and put away, just one throw left out there.

Dinner is cooking (must check the grill).

I've been round the house and got rid of a few things for my No.5 but I'll have another sweep :)
