Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week when it comes to housework, or just the motivation to do the dreaded housework tasks you have to do, come and join us, hopefully make it a little easier. You never know, you might start to enjoy it!

Following requests to start things steadier for new members who did not realise the tasks list wasn’t a must do, just an encouragement. There will now be level 1, 2 and 3. Level 1 being very basic it has been requested that this is just one task per day, level 2 in the middle, up to 3 which is more advanced and time consuming. If you want to do level 2 you add the tasks on level 1 with the level 2 tasks, if you want to do level 3 you add the tasks on, easy peasy. Choose a level to aim for but be realistic, if you’ve got a busy day on or are just starting etc aim for level one, if you get higher then great, if not then not to worry its only suggestions. Every room comes back around next week. Trust me some days I'll only be doing level one myself.

THESE LISTS ARE ONLY SUGGESTIONS AND NOT A MUST DO LIST, ALWAYS WELCOME TO POST AND FOLLOW YOUR OWN.

Also adding a declutter mission each day. Another one where it’s up to you if you want to do it or if you need to. This follows requests from members who are looking to declutter. Fling boogies, hotspot clearing, cupboard sorts, drawer sorts etc will all be on this list. Any problems with this of any suggestions do please let me know.

A few of the basics before we start the week

Hotspots are any areas which if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!

Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc

Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.

Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a binbag and whizz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.

Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

For example.. clear the desk could be on Greenbee's list, HHRoD on AnWs_mums 5 times :D... Count guinea piggy poop on Mudders :p.. Sit on bottom on Toots list!! ... but choose 5 things... You will get a pretty little smiley chosen by Toots for each one that you complete

This is to be run in conjunction with the stars so those who do not need to take part in this challenge can still work towards their usual stars.. for this week... :p .. next week may well be completely different!

This is aiming to help you deep clean, declutter or maintain a room to a high standard..

oh.. and I need your lists by the end of Monday .. so we can see who is achieving what.

This weeks MACAW (Make a Change a Week challenge) Basically you choose one thing you would like to change about your lifestyle, your habits or whatever you fancy and incorporate it into a new way of life.. anything from cooking one meal a week from scratch, learning a new skill, shining your sink every day, reducing your alcohol consumption, doing some exercise.. whatever you fancy! This is only for those who WANT to participate and being run alongside flylady rather than being part of it.

My M.A.C.A.W challenge this week is..............

This is the list of flyers who have completed a day's list. I will amend it here as and when I see you complete your days!
    1. You don't have to complete the list on the same day to get your star
    2. Remember the 'extras' are extras and don't count towards the stars!
    3. Please make it obvious when you have finished a list so that I know you need a star - for example Monday Done!
    4. If you dont have something on the list then it gets deleted - e.g. clean out pets - if no pets no cleaning out done - delete!
    5. Similarly when it says childrens rooms then you should substitute spare room/utility room/conservatory...etc if you have no childrens rooms.
    6. If you have no spare room or any other room not on the weekly list then make sure you do any thing thats on that list that you haven't already done earlier in the week and try to substiture similar type jobs - make an effort please!!
    7. You should not be deleting stuff just because you CBA!!
    8. You may delete stuff if you are not physically fit to do something!
    9. And for goodness sake remember that the stars are for FUN - there will be no discrimination - no sulking - no striking - no bribing- no cheating - or there will be no stars!!! so there!!:rotfl: :rotfl:
Last week there was 141 stars awarded with 17 flyers doing all five days lists.

    w/c 29/6 - 141 (17)
    w/c 22/6 - 153 (20)
    w/c 15/6 - 142 (20)
    w/c 08/6 - 136 (16)
    w/c 30/5 - 139 (15)
    w/c 23/5 - 128 (14):(
    w/c 06/4 - 202 (21) (new total to beat)

My 5 things for the week

    1. Clear desk (seeing as Pigpen says I have to )
    2. Clear utility surfaces, put on two new doors & change outside lightbulb
    3. Make wedding cake  by Friday morning
    4. Update finances
    5. Start (at least) new versions of CVs and post SOMETHING on jobsite and monster...
And I have to do all but the wedding cake by Wednesday afternoon as I have a governors meeting Wed pm, a conference Thursday daytime, waxing/manicure/pedicure Thurs pm and have to head off to Winchester sometime on Friday...

In addition, I want to keep my step count round the 14000+ mark in the hope that I'll lose weight by Friday (clearly it's not really going to make a difference by then, but I'd like to think I'll feel better!), and so that I'm in a good routine for when I go back to work. I just wish I had hex's will-power and self-discipline :A

Soappie's right noise violations et al come under the auspices of environmental health. Log log and log - dates. time etc and preferably have others complain also. But if it's a pub causing a problem they can lose their licence or have it limited....if the police are ever called and involved log that too. But it might be worth checking their licence as it stands at the moment in case they are breaching it's terms. That'll be the licensing dept at the council....
If it's loud they should send someone out to do some datalogging with a dB (decibel) meter.
Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY
