Morning everyone
ooooooooooooooh we have had the most horrendous thunder and lightning storm here - is been going since abot 9.30 - at one point it was overhead with the flashes and rumbles simultaneous! At least i wont have to worry about watering my pots today - there has been [STRIKE]2 [/STRIKE] make that 3 (its started again) very heavy downpours and the thunder is still rumbling around. Can i have some flylady advice. Ds1 has wrecked 3 of his school t shirts by getting paint from art on them. I've washed them loads, put stardrops in the machine and put vanish in machine and i still can't get it out. They are now saoking in a bucket of bleach & water but as they've got a badge on them i think it might just make it worse. If it doesn't and the stains don't come out what else can i try?I really don't want to be buying new tshirts now.
stefe I know you 'lurk' but it nice to see you posting!!!
carol have a lovely time awya - hope your Gran is coping ok with her treatment.
valli and froddy I see one or 2 more OCD tendancies showing with the cd storage :rotfl::rotfl:
SS supergirl - Hi babes :wave:hope you have a calmer week
Hi liuhut  nice to see you - hope you had a nice time with your relatives and aren't homesick.
natty hugs for you and hope you get through your problems just now - its nice to know you have a lovely hubby and caring friend to keep an eye on youYour garden sounds so inetresting with all the bird activity - they maybe feel safe from cats with Jet being around.

rach hope your first day was good and you will settle in quickly.
methekidsstangely I am quite looking forward to tackling some of my list tonight - you lot have a strange effect on people!!!!
Getting Hitched yes of course you can join - welcome to the thread - i will send you a pm shortly that may help you get started.

orkney star - nice to see you again - take it at your pace!!BlimusOreilly wrote: »I don't want to/can't afford to join yet another slimming club so I've got to do this on my own.
neveah get Dh to helpyou with some bits and then you can both chill together!
raggydoll of course you can rejoin - sorry about your loss and congratulations on being pregnant again - be careful wont you - I will try not to nag:rotfl: but I like being the fussing old aunty!!!! I know you have had the welcome pm but will send it again just to refresh you about any bits!!
bevan hugs for you both - I know how hard it can be waiting for hospital things - - try to get him less stressed for wed nesday (easier said than done I know) but it will help the blood pressure etc. Cross the bridges when you come to them - there is no point second guessing at this stage - its great that you are getting him to go away and relax and sort things out after - thats a good starting place. What about hiring some of his fav DVD's or funny DVD's for tomorrow to help him chill a bit - and forget housework tomorrow - if you drive and he is fit try taking him out for a run in the car or soemthing that or would that be adding to his stress - I meant about not being able to drive not your driving:rotfl: try to distract him as much as possible - have a laugh with him - like a fashion show - try on some of your long forgotten clothes and get his opinion as to whether they stay or go?
I am very impressed with all your lists - and you may get inspiration from someone else's if you are struggling to find 5 jobs - polly you work so hard all the time I know its going to be difficult for you so what about reading everyday? or trying a hobby that you have been putting off?
Some of you have put very big challenges on your list which is great but be careful that you dont set yourself up with unattainable goals - be realistic!!! You should be breaking larger jobs down into manageable chunks remember!
toots xx
Peace will be mine
could do better - must try harder

thats it!
You lot have motivated me - Ive just bought myself a step-counter/pedometer type thing. Im also going to make more effort and go back to the gym - I havent been for weeks now. Not very MSE to be paying for it and not going!
Im going to make a real effort this week, to get on top of the flying and start making an effort to lose some weight. I saw some photos of myself and cant believe how much weight Ive put on....Im only going to start by trying to lose 7lb. Will see how I feel after that.....if I can achieve that, that is!
I doing what I can from work just now so I dont have to be worrying about it when I get home and can just get on with flying instead of mucking around with other jobs.- Have checked accounts and done necessary tranfers/payments this morning. (I have a random payment that has gone into my account and I dont know what it is!
)
- Have sorted out Grocery Budget List. (have already blown this months budget!)
- Am working on my meal plan for the rest of the week.
- Having written a shopping list that I need so far and will add anything I need to complete my meal plan.
- Am setting up an Expenses spreadsheet so hopefully I dont blow my budget in future.
Am off to finish my jobs. If anyone has any help or advice Id be grateful.

1. Finish pruning shrub
2. Go through DH's wardrobe for recycling before they come tomorrow. Done
3. Cupboard under stairs
4. Tidy toiletries basket Done
5.
My toiletries basket is one I keep in the bottom of my wardrobe with toothpaste, soap etc. ready for use. I don't think I need any toothpaste for a while......
Just started raining, it's very windy too.
Toots, I don't work hard at all, I'm very lazy, it's just that there's only the two of us here now so as hard as DH tries it can't get too messy. I've learned to live the the pile of fishing magazines and only make him skim the top when it starts to fall over. I think my standards are just lower than everybody else's.

Blimus, why not do what Greenbee and I have been doing which is getting a pedometer and trying to increase our step count? In the first week the most I could do is 3, 000 ish and now I’m up to 6-7, 000 ish. And I’ve lost 6 lbs! Walking is free and easy - glad to see you are joining in too Jo

Welcome minibudgetgal and Gettinghitched and Orkney Star (what is HO?) and raggydoll (hugs and congratulations)
Hi Liuhut, did you have a nice time with your rellies?
Big hugs Natty, I’m here if you need to talk, please just PM me. You are so brave to talk about what you are going through xx
Sexy, handwashing is one of those things that you put off for ages and then it turns out to be not as bad as you think
Have a great first day at work Rach
Jo, just seen about your random payment and that’s reminded me we had a DD go out and we don’t know what it’s for! Need to check that too.
I’ve thought of a 6th thing for my list, need to stick the car number plate back on as a man knocked it off with his shopping bag when I was in Guildford on Saturday. He was very sweet tho and had a lovely accent so I wasn’t too upset. I was sitting in the car at the time and he saw me and came to apologise. Anyway, got some double sided sticky tape today so hopefully that will hold it on. Oh, just thought of something else, get a window cleaner as the one that said he was coming doesn’t appear to be doing so despite repeated phone messages to see where he is. And that’s another thing, wash bras
Got to add sort out undies and pyjamas drawers for next weeks challenge! (Actually I’ve nearly got next weeks list ready already!)
Just got a letter from Scottish Power to say they owe us £98.88. Yippeee! Will put it straight to a CC
Is it me or are there a huge amount of hair dye adverts on at the moment?
Sorry for this rather random post, I've been writing it as i've thought of things.
This morning, I've been into the village to get a prescription and a few bits of shopping from the dreaded C**p. Hate that shop but they did surprise me by having an unusual item that I needed.
Going to find my list now."Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Morning lovelies – lovely and sunny here, BBC Look North says there will NOT be rain here today – so in all likelihood there will be!!
TAG – happy birthday, hope you have a great day :bdaycake:
Rach – good luck with first day at work
Quillion – hugs my love, it’s hard watching somebody go through that – Triker said it so well
Toots- I am dirty!!:laugh: LOL You should of seen it, it was disgusting, though DH told me off as I hurt my elbow doing it, but I’m not/won’t be a !!!!!!! cripple!!!
Right today I’ve:
s/s kitchen
cleaned slow cooker pot that had been soaking all night
loaded wm with towels
hung out towels (BBC Look North had better be correct!)
loaded dw and turned on
bleached dishcloth
flung bleach down both loos
ironed clothes I’m sat in!
ironed DD1 work trousers too, though I don’t normally touch her clothes – she’s old enough to do it herself
had shower and came up to work
trying to do advert for property pages magazine we go in fortnightly – yes it’s work not home related, but their system does my blo$dy head in, so it deserves a mention. No-one else does it; in fact no-one else WILL do it!
Right this challenge malarkey, don’t hold your breath on this one, even a smilie face from Toots may not be enough to spur me on. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
So I’m now hyperventilating on typing these:
1) Start emptying/cleaning small bedroom, now DD1 has been banned from using it as a dressing room. Walls need to be washed, there’s so much make-up (think spray tan) on them
2) Consider (yeah I’m a wimp!) borrowing best friends carpet cleaner to tackle small bedroom carpet – though it’s that bad, as you all saw , I think it’s past it and will need a new one
3) Sort out paperwork on top of microwave and put in filing cabinet
4) Chase doctors as our new joint life cover has been stopped (well Mine has) as because I had endometrial microwave ablation last year, they think it’s for something iffy, told them it was for periods, but they need confirmation from docs. So at present I’m un-insured!!!! As I cancelled my single policy so that I wasn’t paying twice for myself this month. DH had better take good care of me!!
5) Sort out cupboard in utility, all the carp goes in there when I CBA putting it anywhere else
6) (adding another seeing as there is only a slim chance I will no number 2!!)
Sort out airing cupboard, it’s huge I can stand up in it (!!!!) and it’s crammed to the gillsTo love and be loved is the greatest happiness of existance - Sydney Smith0 -
Hi guys
On my dinner hour. Need to make sarnie for some fuel for my bod then think what I can fit in off the list, ooooh I know I'll do the WTC form and post it on the way back from work, yeah! Oh and I've decluttered 4 (measly) lbs off my body, disappointed with that but it's better than nothing. It was the Chinese on Friday that done it, so, it's OH's fault cause he's the one that tempted me, I've text him to tell him that
Lots of flying and good lists on the go :T
ETA: Congratulations Raggydoll0
