Wash any filters that need it.. don't forget the extractor hood! - how do I do this?????? Sorry if dumb question! !

    Hey Mrs GG,

Glad you asked that question, I can't seem to get my filters out of the extractor hood! Cleaned entire kitchen last week (deep-clean) and this was the only thing couldn't do!

Also, can't remember who said about the newspapers on top of the units - brilliant idea! They get so greasy, hope this helps!

Once home from work tonight, I am gonna get my star by swishing & swiping the kitchen and doing the filters!

    Morning all

    Today's list done Toots :)

I'm going to have to think about the new challenge and see if I can post a list later, there's nothing obvious.

No washing today, not enough for a load and the forecast is a bit iffy so I'll wait until tomorrow.

I also did the living room thoroughly and the stairs and computer desk so that will help later in the week. I pulled out as much furniture as I could manage.

I've started to cut back a shrub in the back garden which gets huge. The green wheelie bin is full now so I'll have to wait for it to be emptied tomorrow before I can do any more. Oh, the rest of that could be a challenge....

    1. Finish pruning shrub
    2. Go through DH's wardrobe for recycling before they come tomorrow.
    3. Cupboard under stairs

I got him to get rid of four coats yesterday (with much pouting and grumbling, he's still got at least six). After he went to work this morning I went back up there and got rid of three shirts with worn out collars. He never wears a proper shirt if he can help it and we just bought a new one for the wedding do. I'll go through it again in a minute.

I'm really hot now so I'm going to have a cup of coffee while I try to catch up with the posts. Hope everyone's OK.

Thought of No.3 - cupboard under the stairs. There's nothing to throw away but DH and DS have been taking stuff in and out and consequently it's just all over the place. I can take it out and put it back properly ;)

Polly - you've been flying for too long... you're obviously on top of everything! If you're short of stuff to do, then I'm sure a few other flyladies could do with some helpl ;) so you might need to administer the odd kick!

Cooker hoods - mine is quite high up, so I can see how to get the filter out! Have a look from underneath it. Mine has two catches fairly close to the front that release it the frame underneath. I then have to let it drop down and forwards, as it's fitted into a slot at the back. I can then take out the underneath cover and the filter (filter is metal) which both get a soak in soda crystals and then go in the DW (I take out the top rack and have a spray attachment instead of the top arms - and I do all my baking/roasting/grill trays etc at the same time). If you have a charcoal filter you might need to replace it. Lakeland do the replacements.

Right... still wet and horrible here, so I'm going to try to locate unsweetened dried cranberries for the wedding cake (people all over the country are currently looking for me!), and then might nip into town, go to the sugarcraft shop and the gym if the weather doesn't improve!

tooch - you can put your wellies and a raincoat on, and take an umbrella. I'm sure DD will enjoy splashing in the puddles while you walk!

Just nipped on to say that it looks like I will need another HHC starting at 11.15.....to finish kitchen and hang out washing, so if anyone wants to join me!
(DS is happy watching cbeebies for now, so I am happily cleaning! We will be out Tue, Thu and Fri at Toddler things, and so it is nice to get todays stuff done at least...will try other days too but will be less time!).
